Caseyrhe reacted to Mach1 Driver in radio / heater control bezel
As I recall, you have to put the transmission shift lever in low- at least on an automatic. Remove the radio knobs (and nuts?). Take the two screws at the top of the wood grained bezel out, center the heater sliders, grab the bottom of the wood grain bezel and pull out. It has some pins or studs that engage with spring clips to hold it in- just yank on the bottom and watch for clearance to the knobs on the sliders.

Take them off and run a piece of welding wire through them. Then blow out with an air hose.

Caseyrhe got a reaction from lalojamesliz in Anyone think a hydraulic press useful on these cars?
I've found it useful in compacting all the BS my boss keeps giving me, so some day soon, I can give it back to him to cram it up his ass

It is the hard part, but seeing daily progression, keeps the drive going. Don’t let the little steps backwards frustrate you, we have all had them. Paint looks awesome!!

Caseyrhe reacted to Mike65 in Moving out of NJ soon.
Two weeks ago we put our home in NJ up for sale, & today we got an offer on it for what we were asking for it. Our house in Southern Virginia that we have been renovating for the last year, short of a few ceiling fans & a couple light fixtures is ready to move into. So in about one month we will be moving out of NJ to southern Virginia just west of Martinsville in a small town called Horsepasture. The house is 1350 sq ft ranch with a full basement & a 1 car carport on 1 acre of land & has room for a 2 car garage.

Caseyrhe reacted to Dave R. in fold down seat latch adjustment
And if your back seat doesn't rattle as you drive call the cops. Someone has stolen the seat. Dave R.

Caseyrhe reacted to Brian Conway in fold down seat latch adjustment
Pictured is an original panel and yes no access holes. I measured the back seat to get an idea of where the bracket should mount. Also a ' dry fit ' to make sure the post would not contact the very thin fiberglass post opening. Brian

No fixes, but I've seen that on most Mustangs I've been under.

Caseyrhe reacted to Midlife in D*@3n!* turn signal switch!
Be sure to put black electrical tape on the back side of the TS switch to cover the rivet heads, as they can short out against the steering column, which is chassis ground.

Caseyrhe got a reaction from pw520a in how to wire the electric choke
You could also use the female plug at the fire wall harness, currently using it on my 69 and 2- 70's

Caseyrhe reacted to RPM in My 1970 Mustang
Easiest and cheapest fix is to rebuild or replace the 2v. Otherwise down the rabbit hole you go. I try to remember to do the easiest fix first. Doesn't always happen.

Caseyrhe reacted to RogerC in 69 SuperCoupe
Wet sanded with 320 grit & primed. Will wet sand this with 400 grit. If its smooth and flawless I'll shoot it with POR15 or KBS rust seal to give the fiberglass some additional protection from chips then final prime.

Caseyrhe reacted to fordguy69 in 69 Front Bumper to Valance Bracket Fit Help
On the outside like the top picture. I cut a small piece of thin rubber to put in between the brace and the valence and used a stainless socket head bolt to attach it. I think they were black from the factory? All of the ones I have taken off have been rust colored though. You can't really see them when everything is bolted together unless you really look for them.
