  1. lanky, the brackets I used are Ford stock alternator brackets, aluminum bracket that bolts to the cyl head # - D0OE-10A336-A2, alternator bracket # - D0OE-10156-A, large offset adjuster bracket # - D32AE-10145-DA. I had to use a 3/4" spacer on the bottom alternator bracket bolt so the bracket would be straight. I am using a standard rotation water pump from a 1987 Crown Vic 5.0 & a Dayco # - 5060410 serpentine belt. IIRC the higher amp alternator is a large frame alternator, the 95 amp alternator like the one I got is the smaller frame alternator.
  2. Sven, the parts I used are, cylinder head bracket # - D00E-10A336-A2, alternator bracket # - D00E-10156-A, alternator offset bracket # - D3AE-10145-DA, the serpentine belt I used is a Dayco 40" # - 5060410.

    Happy Easter !

    Happy Easter back at you.
  4. That is a serpentine belt. I went with dual electric cooling fans. Here are a couple pics with the fans installed.
  5. I installed a 95A Ford 3G alternator in my 69 Coupe for the reason that Mach 1 Driver stated above, that if you have a problem with the alternator on the road somewhere you can just go to a parts store & buy a new one.
  6. $1.99 now in southern NJ.
  7. sixt9stang, now would be the time to rewire the car. I did my 69 Coupe while it was apart.
  8. Nate, I stripped the engine bay inside & out down to bare metal & coated it with master series silver, & then top coated it with their chassis black. http://masterseriesct.com/page4.html
  9. When I replaced the outer wheel houses on my 69 Coupe I had to find the seam where the inner & outer wheel houses joined so I used a soldering torch on a cylinder of MAP gas like you would use on copper water pipe. I heated the undercoating & used a putty knife & scraped off as much as I could to find the seam. https://www.bernzomatic.com/Products/Hand-Torches/Instant-On-Off/TS4000?gclid=CjwKCAjw4KD0BRBUEiwA7MFNTUbOEAnt5Esd1-DLa1Mxn5ljg1Exr2t0ukEDi_wa2BEBtHIUQ83YzRoC4ckQAvD_BwE https://www.bernzomatic.com/Products/Fuel-Cylinders/Hand-Torch-Cylinders/MG9
  10. Looks great Casey. Love the color.
  11. What brand LED lights do you use?.
  12. Thanks aslanefe, I messed with it a little while longer & figured out how to remove it. Looking in the gas tank it looks like it is coated with black gunk I guess to keep it from rusting. I read on VMF that guys have cleaned it with simple green & water. As soon as it warms up a little I will clean it out & post some pics of what comes out of the tank.
  13. Here is a link to a place to purchase it from. https://undercoverinnovations.com/product/69-70-mustang-show-panels/
  14. Contract Muscle Car Research they sell them, that is where I got them for my 69 Coupe. Nice quality. https://www.musclecarresearch.com/69-70-mustang-cowl-pad or you could get the whole kit that also includes the round bumpers. https://www.cjponyparts.com/cowl-panel-mounting-kit-1969-1970/p/HW3982/ or from NPD, https://www.npdlink.com/product/mounting-kit-grille-vent-panel-outer-12-incl/144655?backurl=search%2Fproducts%3Fpage%3D2%26search_terms%3Dcowl%2Bpanel%2Bbumpers%26top_parent%3D200001%26year%3D1969&year=1969
  15. Flanders if you are putting the fitting in a aftermarket manifold you might need an adapter, I needed one for my Edelbrock manifold.
  16. I purchased a year or so ago a Spectra Premium 22 gallon fuel tank to use with my EFI setup that has an electric fuel pump in the tank. I have read several posts from people that have had problems with the supplied electric fuel pump & gunk in the tank. I took the tank out of the car today & cleaned off the outside of the tank & I want to clean the inside also before putting any gas in it. Does any one know how to get the sender with the electric fuel pump out of the tank? I have tried for almost 1/2 hr with no luck.
  17. Thanks Vic. Today was a rainy day & I could not work outside so I was in the garage & started wrapping the engine bay harness & where the harness runs in front of the radiator.
  18. Morgan, welcome to the forum. Very nice looking Cobra. I love the rims on your Mach-1, I had a set on a 68 GT Coupe I had back in the 80;s.
  19. Stangman69 I have a 69 Coupe I am also doing a resatomod to which was originally a 302 2bbl C-4 auto "plain jane" Coupe. I am using the same hydraulic clutch setup as you & I am in the finishing stages of my AAW harness install. If you want to check out my build here is the link to it here. http://1969stang.com/forum/index.php?/topic/47206-mike65s-69-coupe-build/#comments
  20. Alex, I saw your post about the trunk hinges & trunk support rods, here are a couple pics of my 69 Coupe. Contact Joe Hank in Florida he sells Mustang parts. I have purchased a lot of stuff from him since my 69 Coupe was almost a bare shell when I acquired it. He is great to deal with. His E mail is paparet2@juno.com you could also try Blue Ridge Classic Mustang at www.usedmustangparts.net I have purchased stuff from him also his name is James.
  21. Today I installed the radiator, hooked up the cooling fans, & started to install the hoses. With the radiator installed I have about 1" clearance between the water pump pulley bolts & the cooling fan shroud.
  22. Roger, that is a nice looking setup. I am also only running an alternator on my 5.0 & to make the manual steering easier I installed a roller idler arm from Opentracker racing. Even with the weight of the drivetrain in the car & the car not moving I can turn the steering wheel with one hand. Here is a link to the idler arm I have which fits 67-70. https://opentrackerracing.com/product/roller-idler-arm-manual-steer-1967-1970/ Here is a pic of the setup on my 1987 5.0 in my 69 Coupe.
  23. Nice work, WOW is that a tight fit between the shock towers.
