  1. Nice work, can't wait to see the finished product.
  2. It was a beautiful day today so I pit the Mustang up on ramps in the rear & jack stands in the front & proceeded to clean off the undercoating where the sub frame connectors are going to weld to. Drivers side, Passengers side,
  3. I used the master series silver on the inner & outer wheel houses on my 69 Coupe. I brushed it on as best as I could reach from the trunk & from the interior with the seat & interior panels out of the way. I wish I had thought to do it when I was replacing the quarter skins.
  4. My work has not been affected by the pandemic either so not much work has been done on the Coupe, but I am planning on starting to run the fuel lines.
  5. Rindelmach1, when you press the button in on the switch, pull out on the knob, & the knob & the shaft should pull out of the switch. When you are pulling the knob if it stops coming out or you feel resistance release the button & then press it again all the time while pulling out on the knob. It should come out.

    Checking in

    Nice pair of Ford's.
  7. NPD sells spray cans but there are paint for soft trim or hard trim, & they also come in light or dark nugget gold. According to the NPD web site the paint color is their custom paint color to match the original Ford paint color. https://www.npdlink.com/product/interior-paint-flexible-spray-dark-nugget-gold-metallic/141630?backurl=search%2Fproducts%3Fsearch_terms%3Dinterior%2Bpaint%26top_parent%3D200001%26year%3D1969&year=1969 https://www.npdlink.com/product/interior-paint-flexible-spray-light-nugget-gold-metallic/141631?backurl=search%2Fproducts%3Fsearch_terms%3Dinterior%2Bpaint%26top_parent%3D200001%26year%3D1969&year=1969 https://www.npdlink.com/product/interior-paint-lacquer-spray-dark-nugget-gold-metallic/107634?backurl=search%2Fproducts%3Fsearch_terms%3Dinterior%2Bpaint%26top_parent%3D200001%26year%3D1969&year=1969 https://www.npdlink.com/product/interior-paint-lacquer-spray-light-nugget-gold-metallic/107635?backurl=search%2Fproducts%3Fsearch_terms%3Dinterior%2Bpaint%26top_parent%3D200001%26year%3D1969&year=1969
  8. Kris, where was your Mustang built, & what was the build date?. Not all Mustangs were painted body color under the vent grille, it depends what model Mustang, when during the year it was built, & at which assembly plant it was built in whether it was black, or body color. I am repainting my Coupe the way it was originally done at the factory. Mine was painted yellow & it was built on 11/26/68 in Metuchen, NJ.
  9. I posted a question on Concours Mustang Forum about my yellow 69 Coupe w/standard black interior & the answer was "it would be the painted the dark charcoal metallic like most of the other painted surfaces ". I think It could also make a difference what the exterior color is & the assembly plant it was built in.
  10. Bryon, good work figuring it out. You guys have to get all these gliches figured out before I buy mine. :)
  11. Her is a pic of my 69 Coupe that shows the 2 top mounting holes.
  12. Casey, I am curious about this also. My 69 Coupe has the standard interior & was wondering if the lower part of the inside of the door below the door panel is body color or interior color?. Before this 69 Coupe I owned a 70 a 69 Coupe & can not remember how they were painted, then again that was back in the late 70's & my memory is not what it used to be. I have seen them painted both ways, to match the interior color, & to match the exterior color.
  13. Nice job, I like where you ran the fuel lines. When you got to the torque box did you run the fuel lines through it, or under it?.
  14. sixt9stang, where do you need to patch the frame rail?. I had to patch both of the front frame rails where the front floor supports overlap & weld to the frame rails. Passengers side, Drivers side,
  15. shelbyshelby do you have a pic of where those rubber bumpers go?.
  16. Berkeley Township, off Rt-37 west of the GSP, 5 miles from Seaside Heights/Seaside Park. I have lived in Essex, Morris, & Warren counties before moving to Ocean county.
  17. Nice work simplyj, what trans are you using?. I used a T-5 in my 69 Coupe that was an auto also & I did not need to modify the trans tunnel opening. BTW where are you in NJ, it looks like Jersey plates on the Ford pick up.
  18. Thanks Rich, where did you live in NJ?. Gary, here are the pics of the center mount parking brake you asked for. Here is the trans tunnel support panel & cover I made, Here is the center mount parking brake handle installed. I used a parking brake handle from a 1987 Mustang, Here is the hook up to the handle. I used Lokar universal parking brake cables, & Ford Racing parking brake cable front pt# - M-2810-A that hooked to the handle. The threads on the gold piece that came with the lokar cables where the cable ends attach is different threads then the Ford front parking brake cable, so I re-tapped the threads to fit the Ford front cable threads. That way I could thread the gold piece on to the threaded end of the Ford front cable & used a lock nut in the front & back of the gold piece. This is how I routed the cables back to the drum brakes backing plates. They just hook to the drum brakes just like the stock cables.
  19. Mycar, welcome to the forum. Here is a link to a seller on E Bay who is selling the hood scoop template. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-70-MUSTANG-MACH-1-HOOD-SCOOP-TURN-SIGNAL-SHAKER-HOOD-CUTOUT-TEMPLATE-/283839329214
  20. Thanks Tgriffin91, the compliments get me motivated to keep plugging away, except the work on the Mustang is going to be slowing to a crawl because my wife & I are looking to purchase & house in southern Virginia & sell the one we are living in & move out of NJ where the taxes are getting out of control.
  21. When I acquired my 69 Coupe back in 2000 I had some rust on the side of the l/s rear frame rail that I cut out & patched with a piece I cut from a rear frame rail patch piece section. https://www.cjponyparts.com/rear-frame-rail-section-driver-side-1965-1970/p/M103L/
