    Bilstein part numbers needed

I must tell this story of maybe how cheap I actually am. I bought my 69 convert in about 1984. I bought new Monroe shocks for it with a " Lifetime Guarantee" in about 1985. Last month I installed new Monroe shocks ( all four) for the 5th time since I bought my car. I have the records. About every 6 years or so. Every time I do it the new shocks are free; zero cost because of the guarantee. I bet Monroe hates those like me, taking advantage or their programs. Maybe they are not the best shocks, but when you can get new ones every 6 or 7 years for zero cost, it is hard to consider other options. Last month the would have cost me $170 if I had not had the guarantee.

I emailed Dakota Digital about the RTX for the 69-70 Mustangs a couple days ago. They told me to check back at the end of September and they will have more information.

Well some bish! I never thought to run the holes in the pins in that direction. How simple is that now that I see it. You be a genius Jim!

    Vintage Air activation wire

I would install the relay in the wire going to the compressor, not the way Holley recommended it. I advise checking with Vintage Air to see how they usually use a WOT interface with their system. Putting in series with the Binary/Trinary safety switch is what I would do, but they for sure have dealt with this before.

I found a close up ,the pin bail holds the cable down ,the crimp never touches the paint

    Yukon Trac Loc rebuild question

Just an update, Quick Performance returned my call and confirmed that the guides are not needed on aftermarket units due to tighter tolerances.

I've been running my hood pins about 1/2" above the hood plates and the cables fed thru the grill with some foam centering the cables in the two grill openings since the early 80's when I bought a new O.E. Ford Set. They were not cheap to my then 19 year old self, so I did not want them rubbing anywhere including my new paint job. They only touch the front edge of the hood trim and the snap rings occasionally touch the inner top surface of the S.S. hood plates (there are marks, but being S.S., nothing other than shinny spots). When they do touch is out driving at speed if the wind catches them. Running them thru the grill certainly is NOT Ford Spec therefore the Concourse Correct crowd would not approve, but pulling them down and retaining them in those two locations in the grill make them curve nicely around the top of the hood and symmetrically towards the center that is pleasing to the eye and my OCD. I'm probably the only one in the world with my '69 hood pin cables running this way ... about time I share !! Doug

I called them about a month back asking about them. The gentleman I talked to said they were in the prototype phase, he estimated an availability of Nov to Feb.

Yes the line was to be called Retrotech and be out in Feb/Mar of 2019- or so they said in 2018. I asked about it earlier this year but they wouldn't comment at the time. Maybe if enough of us ask it may light a fire?
