  1. West Coast Classic Cougar had the register, but I'll bet you're looking for the duct? https://secure.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/Search.aspx?SearchTerms=center ac vent&CatID=15896
  2. Just out of curiosity did you ground the white wire in the 10 pin plug to kill the engine? What ignition system are you using?
  3. I wouldn't try it unless you have a Zray crossmember specifically designed to lift from (he's a well known member on VMF). The problem is slipping off the member and knocking a hole in something like your oil pan :(
  4. Midlife is the guy to ask about the OEM harnesses, and I'm sure he will be around shortly. Unfortunately you are changing to AAW, but he would know how it worked on the OEM system, and that will help. The 69 does not have a key buzzer, but in 70 they started to get serious about how ridiculously easy was was to steal one of these cars (literally less than 60 seconds- and I can show you the video). They moved the key to the column, incorporating a trans lock and apparently added the key buzzer. Since my 69 doesn't have it I wasn't even aware of its existence, but since its a brother car I will follow this with some interest. Good luck ;)
  5. Yeah he is south of me a bit. I had a problem with mice in one of the garages and the only thing I found that worked was glue traps...then I got a new garage door to keep the critters out.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, Chocko claims that Vettes used the same PS unit as Mustangs and he didn't get the complaints from the Vette guys. I wouldn't be afraid of a factory PS unit, especially from Chocko, and he will be rebuilding mine.
  7. On this forum go to the "How to's" section and look at the post "Fixing the Instrument Panel". It will tell you everything you need to know.
  8. Like you I am still collecting information on this subject but thought I would share what I've found. A prominent member on Stangfix with the handle of Horseplay uses this: https://www.amazon.com/SPC-Performance-FasTrax-Camber-13-17in/dp/B000PG6OW2 Any commercially available turn plates are ridiculously expensive and will probably require one of the home-brew methods with layers of plastic. I'm looking forward to see what the other guys have tried.
  9. I still have an Eagles Hotel California t-shirt from one of their concerts
  10. For those that aren't aware, the relay is hooked up with the Purple and Black wires to the relay coil terminals (often numbered 85 & 86), the Red to relay common (#30) and the Orange wire to relay N.O. terminal (#87)
  11. I won't mention the "Chrysler Invicta" if you change it quickly. ;)
  12. Whoa, I didn't see those! Thank you.
  13. Thanks, that's a good find- now we only need the sides 8242-4A and 8243-4A to match. Those would be tough shapes to tool in stainless, but its no problem to chrome the aluminum.
  14. It always bugged me that the trim around the grill is bright anodized and obviously different than the rest of the bright work. I've always wanted to have it nickel chrome electroplated. I think I'll look into that.
  15. Ridge is just a wealth of knowledge :D
  16. I have no direct knowledge of liskey measurements, but if your floor is anything like mine, it is very uneven. You may want to think about using a cheap auto-leveling laser for much better accuracy: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=how+to+use+a+lazer+level+to+level+a+car+chassis#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:4f8f3d47,vid:NL4KyLA6mJk
  17. Good point, I'll bet you could only tell when they are turned on, and it would just be less light. They have a couple of frequency ranges- one is called classic white at 3000k, and the other is modern white at 5700k. Halogen bulbs range from 3200k to 4300k.
  18. Hey Bob. Yes I've seen them and the above video (good video by the way). The Holley's have been around for a while now. Hands down, they are the best LED headlight currently on the market. It is DOT approved and obviously they have put big bucks into developing the things. Unfortunately they appear to want to recoup the development dollars in a very short time- hence the outrageous cost. Recently I've seen the price drop by 10%, so all four would go for around $684. You could probably talk yourself into buying them if you used the 7-inchers (thus only needing two) - but we need four of the little suckers for the 69! You 70s guys are in luck though. Cost and the plastic lenses are the only drawbacks I see to them. At this time, I think it still makes more sense to go with DOT approved Sylvania halogens and relays, but I keep watching the prices. At least the option is out there if you Just Have To Have LEDs.
  19. The conversion for a Miata is pretty spiffy. One thing I would check is the speaker resistance, and if it is compatible with YOUR radio. Too little resistance would blow the amp.
  20. Easy for you to say. You're the guy with an avatar showing two razor blades welded edge to edge! You do amazing work. Mere mortals have to work at it a bit harder.
  21. The first thing that goes is the memory. I can't remember the second.
