  1. That's exactly what happened on mine. When I moved it out it closed much better.
  2. Have you tried moving the striker out some? I had the same issue when mine was all the way in. Mine was too far in to catch completely so wasn't clamping all the way. I moved mine out some to try and start over with the adjustment it it closed much better. Just a thought on something that worked for me. Good luck.
  3. Sorry for your loss Mike. We lost our Husky right a 2 years ago due to kidney failure. Beautiful pup.
  4. Honestly if you are doing that with the EFI, and rebuilding the trans anyway, I would look at trans with overdrive in it. Will be much better on the road. Lots of guys on here have done the OD auto swap, so lots of options out there.
  5. I did the same thing on mine. I had pypes violaters on mine an quite honestly they were just obnoxious. The mangaflow's have good sound on mine, fairly mild at idle but really sound good when you get on it. To me it was a good swap.
  6. I went with the MDL set up. I found a Transmission from a different place and saved a little bit of money, but bought everything else through them. No issue with parts and they wre quite helpful over the phone when I had some install questions. I went with the hydraulic setup using the Titan Hydraulic Throw out bearing they sell. Except for a mistake on my part on first install have had no issues with it. With the big block and long tubes, I really didn't want to mess with the other setups making sure I had room etc. So far this has worked great and had no issues in the 3 years having it on the car. It has a nice solid feel to it. I needed a different driveshaft anyway so I got a deal through a buddy for a new one I had made. I am also running the Cobra front and rear set up. So far it has met my needs and I haven't looked any any other upgrades a this point. Certainly plenty of upgrade options out there.
  7. First off nice set up. I have a very similar set up. 445/TKO600 with Quicktime bellhousing with long tubes. I am also using the MDL hydraulic set up with the hydraulic Throw out bearing. I really like the set up and has worked great for my set up. When I first put mine together, I did not secure one of the lines correctly and it caught on the pressure plate. Had to drop the transmission and replace that line. NOT fun, so I get the price of tuition for sure. Did you use the Survival Motorsport Stroker kit?
  8. Not sure I have a good picture, but I mounted mine on the back side of the shock tower. Not alot of room back there.
  9. I have the 600HP version and running their inline pump kit. I recently changed the pump out to a Bosch 044 as their pimp was making ALOT of noise, like unusually loud noise. I have heard on other forums that people were having issues with the FiTech inline pump, so I upgraded just to be on the safe side. So far so good with this pump. We used the supply line they provided and I am using the old factory supply line as the return. Used the drain plug port as the return port. I had an issue last week that I thought was pump related, but the pump checked out and it appears I had an electrical issue that we seem to have sorted out. Time will tell when I get some more mileage on it. Yes the pump can be loud, but honestly its not much louder than the electric fans when they are running. Can't really hear it when driving and radio on either. So far I am happy with the way the FiTech runs. Still fine tuning some things on it, but the more I drive the better it is getting on the tune.
  10. The rear was 18X10 with 6.38 Backspacing, no spacers. The Drag radial was a 305/35. I am running a 285/35, should have gone 40 series as the 35 is a bit short on a 285. The front I am running a 17X8, with 5.72 back spacing and 245/25 tire. I am running a 1 inch spacer up front. These are wheels that fit the 94-04 mustang, so pretty cheap and available. Hope that helps Scott
  11. I have the FiTech too and done quite a bit of reading on them. There are a few things that guys have done to get them to run pretty good with tweaking a few parameters. Seems like a lot of issues are with the timing control and getting that set up properly. If you don't have a fuel system yet, I would look for a tank with the pump inside. Pump is quieter and will stay cooler that way.
  12. I am running an 18X10 with a 285. I Was running a 305 Drag Radial on an 18X10 with little issue.
  13. I saw on Instagram that this car will be at the Raleigh Good Guys Show Next week. Is that still the plan? Would love to take a look at it in person. I plan to be there with mine as well.
  14. I am running a unisteer with a saginaw pump with AC, but I also have a big block, with a vintage air kit, and using CVF brackets. I looked and don't really have any clear pictures of the clearance between the two, but my guess is with the factory style AC pump it would be even tighter. I think the factory AC bracket is going to be the challenge for fitting it all on the motor.
  15. I love my coil over set up as well. I always recommend anyone call and talk to Shaun. I talked to him multiple times and was considering just a shock and other upgrades, but in many talks with Shaun, I decided on the coil over set up with Bilstein shocks all the way around. He has has different levels of shocks and I went with the street valving he offers and so far I could not be happier. With that and the unisteer Power steering, I could not be happier with my set up.
  16. Looks good and like the updates. Thanks for all of the effort to keep the site up and running.
  17. I was never able to get mine installed with the headers attached. Always snaked them in after engine was almost in place
  18. Yeah, I was glad I didn't have that issue with mine.
  19. I have one but using it with a ididit tilt column. No issues with mine, but I have it tilted up as well. May cause some issue with no tilt.
  20. Glad you got it back up and running good and hope the deal with transmissions works out for you.
  21. I did see that. I don't have much room the my trunk to do much anyway with the speakers back there. I like being able to keep the storage under the package tray. Nice job!
  22. Sorry to hear about this. Those pictures are hard to look at, I can only imagine how you feel. Glad no one was injured, and sorry you weren't able to save your rides. Good luck on moving forward. Scott
  23. I got my set up from Modern Driveline and really happy with it.
