If it sticks after sitting more that 2 days, drive it every other day. You're welcome.
    No idea actually.

Get the body in shape, including everything that is structural.  Without that foundation, everything else will be harder to do.  Once done, concentrate on getting it to be a roller (brakes, steering, suspension)  so you can trailer it to a paint shop in the future.  Before paint, make sure the doors, fenders, windows, etc. all fit correctly.  Then after paint, consider installing the wiring next, then the engine and interior.  It will be a long process...so be patient.

On my 69 with factory air, the green wire to compressor is molded as part of the bundle where NSS and wiper motor wires come out, about 2 inches inboard of the gas pedal cable.

While doing my upholstery it wasn't the ring pliers as much as the constant pulling, stretching and tucking that played havoc on my arthritis.

Oh I just knew you'd say something. They were all neatly zip tied to the main under dash harness, but took up too much room to fit the AC pieces I'm now installing. It'll work out fine grasshopper.

I wouldn't spend a dollar for any of those three guys: they simply aren't worth restoring at all!!!

Caseyrhe reacted to Midlife in Wiring diagram? Or just rewire the entire car?
One other thing about most of the aftermarket wiring kits: they are basically designed for *gasp* GM products, so you'll need to cut off your Ford connectors and splice into the pigtails.
What you're looking for is more aligned with what I do: give you a factory correct set of wiring, all plug-n-play, with a 2 year warranty.  From there, you can modify things for 1 wire alternators, etc., as you see fit.

You'd be better off buying the best completed car you can find given you don't have the tools/equipment to do a full restoration.  Let someone else eat the costs of restoration that almost always is never recovered when the car is sold.
The amount of funds you'll be spending to outfit a dynacorn chassis will be north of $20k.  Even so, it will not be a genuine Ford product that's 50+ years old.  A good refurbished fastback can be found (with time...) for less than the cost of the new chassis and outfitting.

Biden and the Dems happened. Uncontrolled spending. Here, let me give you some money.
Two centuries ago, a somewhat obscure Scotsman named Tytler made this profound observation: "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury.

Thank you to everyone who responded to this thread, and for taking the time for the photos and measurements. It was very informative and hopefully will help someone in the same situation in the future.
I ended up ordering the installation kit # 3735587. The shifter lined up with the console installed.

Not in Texas, so no Whataburger here in Central AR though they have them in NWA now. For the lower plastic bushing, found that the pump tube in my wife's shampoo bottle fits perfectly and is slighter thicker than the original. Going to be funny to watch her confusion when a half full bottle stops delivering shampoo. :)

For the upper rod, I will make a spacer for it.
