Been some time since I posted, but good to see some of the old gang still here. A few years back.... time slips me, pulled the Mach out of storage where it had been since the late 80's. Built a rotisserie for it using Ridge Runner's plans (Thanks Ridge) and stripped the car down for resto. Had it media blasted and primed it with epoxy and it has not been touched since. Got sidetracked on a couple other projects.
Sidetrack project #1 was my 86 F150, which I bought brand new and had thought to sell for a new truck. Started working on it to prep it for sale but the more I worked on it, the more I realized I could not sell it. What started out as a few mechanical repairs, led to a near full blown restoration including engine bay, interior, and exterior paint and body stuff. Great learning experience with the paint and body work, as I had no experience in this. Anyway, that process took a couple of years and I've now turned my truck into a trophy truck.  
Sidetrack project #2 was my daily driver, a 2014 Ford Focus ST which I also bought brand new. Thought to trade it off but with the crazy market, the fact that it was paid off and, that I really liked it, decided to keep it too! Wife was glad, as she didn't want to incur another car payment. Told the wife if I was going to keep it, I was going to add a few go fast goodies on it.... "so open up those purse strings woman!"  Go fast goodies were all bolt on and included a Garrett ATP 2867Gen2 turbo, upgraded intercooler, 3" downpipe, Cobb Accessport, tuning....blah, blah, blah. I gotta say, in all the years I've been wrenching, I've never seen such incredible HP gains with mere bolt on's! Keep in mind, I'm old school and knew nothing about Turbo charging technology prior to this project. This little rascal rips and boy is it fun!!! I'm running about 350HP to the wheels and at no sacrifice to fuel mileage. 
With that behind me, it's time to get back on the Mach and I'll be hell bent now on having a running car in 2023!!! Looking forward to getting back in the game and more active on the forum!

i did not use the same paint color.  they do seem pretty close though.  i think i started with an off the shelf color for the mustang.  I know I added metallic to that.  I may have darkened the color (or maybe i changed the tone of the other gray parts).   the gray on the falcon is also off the shelf and not modified though.  it's a solid color used for many cars like jeeps and mopars.  one name for it is destroyer gray.

@Machspeed I am working on the same area on my latest 70 Grande nowadays. The metal tabs of the plug go in the square hole and the plug covers the big round hole below the square hole. Depending on how the car was assembled, some times the big round hole is covered by the bottom of the fender leaving little to no hole exposed for the water to drain. 70 grande I am working on is like that, almost all of the big hole is covered by the edge of the fender. Looking at your picture, about half of the big hole should be covered when you weld the bottom of the fender. Also looking at your picture, looks like you used the "patch panel" which is does not have sharp corners and missing some details especially on the corner you are working on. Hope I answered your question.

I've spent hours upon days looking at the builds and gathering information (as you said, a " picture is worth a thousand words") on this website. Please, post up some quick pictures of your project from time to time.

Mike, like the above gentleman, I too have been away for awhile. This past year I spent practically every free minute rebuilding a house that I own that was destroyed by renters. Done with that, house is finished and on the market for sale and I'm back working on the Mustang. That aside, I'm pained in not seeing your posts here. It was always exciting to me to come to this place and see your progress and marvel in your skills. It was encouraging to me, as are you, being the person that you are. You've helped me out several times and I'm indebted to you. I know you've been there for others too. Frankly, these build threads, like yours, are paramount in drawing people to the site. Let me say some more. Many of our representatives are flipp'in spineless!  Everyone knows that this election was filled with fraud. Even the Democrats know this. It was their scheme all along. You can't change laws over night and you can't send out all those mail in ballots that require no signature verification and not know there will be fraud. And, even a little bit is bad. An election should be fair and without contestation. But, Democrats stand together in all things, even when their actions are based off blatant lies and falsehoods, i.e. .....Russian Collusion, Kavanaugh nomination, etc! Republicans, on the other hand, won't even stand together for truth! Right now, many are throwing our President under the bus and siding with the Democrats in impeachment! I despise them more than I do the Democrats. This is an outrage! I was not happy when Trump made his recent comments about VP Pence, but you know what, the more I thought about it, the more I think he was right. At the State of the Union Address, Pence stood right next to Pelosi as she tore up that speech. I don't believe for one minute that he did not see that. Right there, on the spot, he should have called her out. He's spineless. 
Yeah, we're screwed now and there is no going back. Democrats will now, unopposed, do exactly what they want to do with the full backing of the lying media and the censorship of social media. The fact that the censorship is going on right now, even unto our President, should speak volumes as to where we're headed. Moreover, the Dems are going after Trump even after he leaves office. And not just Trump, but those loyal to him. I feel for the future of my children, that they will not know the America that I grew up in. What's left? Prayer!

Those in control have opened Pandoras Box and think they have won. Sadly they did not finish reading the instructions as it warns about the true cost of opening it.
But when the bill comes due they will get what is coming to them 3 fold is Karma's rate and it does not take iou's.
 

We sure do! Term limits would do great things to clean up the mess that our party system has become.

Can I borrow the #NotMyPresident hashtag or is that reserved for President Trump? 2. Who do I contact to see if Republicans are boycotting the Inauguration, like the Democrats did for President Trump? 3. Do I have to accept the election results, or can I cry for four years, claiming election interference? 4. Am I entitled to see Biden’s tax returns to learn how his income jumped dramatically in one year (I mean, we all know how and why. Just show the proof.)? 5. Am I allowed to trash anything that Biden says, without repercussion, because I’m just expressing myself? 6. Is there a sign-up somewhere for riots, do organizers call me, or how does that work, since I didn’t get my way? 7. Are businesses targeted because they supported Biden, or do I just pick a business that has something I want to take home? 8. Were the thousands of businesses that boarded up for fear of riots, for Conservatives or Liberals? If they were for Conservatives, did I miss the riots already??? 9. Where are the safe spaces at? I can't even watch the news now, as it just turns my stomach to see where our country is going. Besides that, I don't trust any of it anymore, not even the so called right leaning media. Whole thing just makes me sick.
