And if your back seat doesn't rattle as you drive call the cops. Someone has stolen the seat. Dave R.

Midlife got a reaction from Caseyrhe in D*@3n!* turn signal switch!
Be sure to put black electrical tape on the back side of the TS switch to cover the rivet heads, as they can short out against the steering column, which is chassis ground.

That wire brush is the one that sheds metal slivers like nobody's business. Huh...that explains a lot about RPM!

Midlife reacted to pw520a in how to wire the electric choke
thanks much for all your posts, great information! I am going with midlife's recommendation of stator terminal.

Midlife got a reaction from pw520a in how to wire the electric choke
904 is RUN-only and available in the engine compartment when you have an ammeter. The alternator indicator lamp version o f 904 is routed differently to the voltage regulator and is not suitable for RUN-only relay capability.

The STATOR terminal on the alternator is what Ford used when it installed an electric choke. The STATOR is RUN-only, and somewhat less than 12 Volts, which allows the choke to stay on a wee bit longer.

There's a 15 ohm resistor in that circuit, so running it may cause the voltage to drop enough to not work the relay.

Have you tried 3M Roloc discs? They cut through rust easily and are useful for grinding down welds as well.

Now try to get that image out of your head.

La partie de couleur bois est en bakélite ou quelque chose comme ça, elle peut être remplie d'époxy, puis peinte pour simuler le bois.

Midlife got a reaction from RPM in Midlife Harness Restoration Status
Hurricane Michael hit in Oct. 2018. Had to move everything out into storage in May, 2019 (that's 1). Moved back in Feb 2020 (that's 2). Filed for divorce in June (that's 3). Moved to Tucson in November, 2020 (that's 4) to a rental property as I couldn't find a house on a 3 day visit. Bought a house with a 3 car garage and moved in May, 2021 (that's 5). This should be my final location, excepting for hospice and disposition of ashes sometime in the future.
Now I know what military families must go through...

You're more than welcome. It is often that another set of eyes/mindset can troubleshoot things better than the one experiencing the problem.
The main reason why I am on this and other forums, as well as my wiring refurbishment business, is that I really enjoy trouble-shooting from a distance. Having a detached perspective (e.g. a dirty mind laying in the gutter) and helping people out gives me great satisfaction out of life. That, and a good brand of whiskey...
