They will be paintable .

Its a spray texture from Rustolium,very close to original

Once sanded smooth it takes a few coats to get the best looking texture . Drivers side is done ,now to sand the passenger side.

All the little nicks and gouges are filled . Used silicone to bond it to some plywood and pine boards. See...my old antique irons came in handy to hold it all in position .
Let the silicone dry and sand one more time ,hit with high build primer ,block sand one more time and it will be ready for texture .

Coupe and convert are different .
69 70 is a slight bit different but only were the wind wing opening is ,they will work on both years .
Non fold down and fold down panels are the same ,the fold down has 3 more panels than the non fold down

Getting started on the rear seat panels ,i have a set of fairly nice panels . The old paint is flaking off so i removed as much as i could ,especially where it is flaking .
Passenger side is in nice condition ,driver side has a couple of gouges that i filled with duraglass ,once it sets up i will sand it smooth .next step is to primer both panels with high build and block sand until perfect . Then reapply the texture ,a few days of drying time and i will mount them on a backing so they do not distort and use them for a brand new mold .they will have all factory holes and back side mounting bracket .
That original paint really stinks when sanded!

Oh buy the way ,the transmission was built by Al Vanderslice of farmersville speed and frame ,he knows Fords . He was a big deal on the drag strips in the 60s and has been in several magazines . You should see his collection of new old stock ford parts ,mostly single over head cammers and 427 s

Would love to have it all back but i have moved on . I still have 2 69 sport roofs if i get that urge again . After selling my collection and loosing the property ...because of scum ball drug selling ,well ...i just lost all interest . I may get into one of the 69s this summer as i bought a 428 un assembled but fully machined .

Just got back from porterville ,went the back way over lewis hill ,water running over the road across from the old dump . I went that way because orange belt has detour from flooding ,i went the back way yesterday and water wasent close to going across the road but last night's rain did it .
They are evacuating homes along the river just after the spill way today .

Having similar problem on my 2005 GT ,i get a noise like disks on a brake machine being turned from the rear brakes . I have checked everything and it all looks good ,calipers do not appear to bind ,no un even wear ,just a bit annoying

They just evacuated the back side of porterville up by the lake ,they are afraid the dam will let go ,water is going over the spill way .
Water went down a bit here yesterday and came right back up again last night ,and the idiot next door still hasnt even looked at what he has caused !

Ponderosa lodge burned down ,a propane tank exploded !
Reservation road up to Eagle Mountain cassino is totally washed out so they are shut down for who knows how long .
Camp Nelson is totally washed out ,my aunt lives there.
The road to Balch park is a total mud slide .
The whole back side of Lindsay is flooded and so is a lot of Porterville .
Highway 99 has flooding in several areas .
We have another big storm tomorrow that is supposed to dump anywhere from 2 -3 inches so that is going to ad to it a bunch !
Our flooding has receded about 10 feet from the marker i hammered in yesterday but with what is coming tomorrow it just may make it in the shop again .
Red cross helicopters have been flying over all day taking supplies to the mountain communities that really got hit hard ,going to be an interesting next couple of days .

I accidentally set off my panic button on the Mustang ,My brothers went off at the same time ,they must both be on the same frequency ! They are both 05s ,my remote turned both of them off ,my brother tried his and it did the same thing .

I have white and black gel coat so they can be either color ,the white is pretty brite white ,its best to paint them the color needed
