69 coupe with boss side decals opinions
ashleesmach1 replied to schweigert's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
Hi, really nice car you have... It's your car and your decision. Who cares what others think... do what you want to it. I'm sure it will look good no matter what you do. I would suggest to be tasteful but in the end it's up to you... post some pics when you get it done.... -

What is a 3.50 posi in a modular case worth?
ashleesmach1 replied to Rsanter's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
I have had an N case 3:50 4 pinion Trac lok 31 spline rear end in my car for years. it works great! I had to have the posi unit rebuilt once. I paid about $ 400. for it. If I was doing hard core racing I would go with the strange unit in a heartbeat. Mostly I just drive on the street. But I love have that rear in the car. the stock rear was 3:00 open thing... good for economy but not for fun -

MY car is 69 mach 1 351W4V with A FMX I'm thinking of going to a lighter trans like a C4 or Something with more gears. The engine is warm up a bit so I need the trans to be strong and reliant. I think something along the street/strip lines should be ok. Can you guys recommend something. I will also need a recommendation on the converter as well. maybe a trans / converter pkg. oh I it want to stay automatic ok:) Thanks

Need ideals on how to support fuel to carb
ashleesmach1 replied to prayers1's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
hey dude, I had this same problem once. I made my own bracket though. I also bent mostly steel 3/8" line. It's not hard but time consuming. I understand why you want to go to braided line. I'll post a pic of my set up tomorrow -
oooh good question !!!!

those new parts would not cause your motor to overheat. do the easy first, check radiator water level. fill if needed, check for all leaks and fix. . then listen for water pump noise or leaks from water pump. do you have mech fan , clutch fan or electric fan? make they function. do you have water over flow bottle? check all hoses make sure they don't collapse. then go after thermostat and then water pump. Good luck
