  1. The "left and up" for reverse is one of the improvements Hurst made. That way, you can't catch reverse on a banzai 1/2 shift. Did you buy the one that accepts the '69 shift handle so it looks stock or does it use the Hurst handle? I think Galaxies in '69 had reverse in the left and up position so if you find a Galaxie shift knob it would match the new pattern.
  2. I have an original take out but I think it is a 3.00.
  3. I have a nice one that I bought in Nashville years ago! I am near Asheville, NC and do have a nice '69 coupe trunk lid. Won't ship though so you would have to pick up. $200 with the end caps if you want them.
  4. Interested in the door panels please. Where are you located? Would you send more pictures of these to my email jimwoods7 at outlook dot com? Thanks!
  5. LOL! What was I thinking? Those are clearly Boss 9. $250!!
  6. Lots of info here if you are curious. I don't think you will get rich on this part. $50 is a good price, $100 tops IMO. http://anghelrestorations.com/uploads/3/1/7/6/3176630/headlight_aimers_v1.0.pdf
  7. Just a comment - you aren't supposed to be able to separate the '70 shaft into 2 pieces - the nylon is supposed to hold them together and collapse on impact. I think without the nylons you can actually pull the steering wheel up/out when the whole thing is assembled (sort of unnerving!).
  8. I am interested in this. Where are you located please? And estimated shipping to 28721.
  9. My experience is that due to the geometry, you will get about double the drop that you cut. In other words, making the spring 1" shorter will bring the front down about 2" or so. So I would view it as how much of a coil do I need to cut to get that drop, not "how many coils".
  10. Location would seem relevant to this request, but this guy has something in AZ; www.anghelrestorations.com
  11. I have this large lot of parts related to 1970 door glass. I know most of it is from a '70 Sportsroof but that is all I know except that the brackets are for bolt-in glass. What you see in the picture is what you get. I can provide close-ups or numbers off some parts in response to a specific request. I am asking $195 plus shipping from 28721 for all of it. It will be a fairly heavy box - maybe 25 lbs.? You can PM me here or preferably email me at jimwoods7 at outlook dot com.
  12. There may actually be a specific date in the MPC but I believe it is around mid-February, 1969.
  13. I have the items in the photo that I would like to sell as a lot. Here are some condition notes on these parts; kick panels are unbroken but have been repainted and one has a small worn spot near the area where it meets the carpet. ash tray console has a mark on one side; can send up close picture if interested Corvex pieces are for the bottom of the fastback rear window seat tracks are a pair for one seat and the studs are in good shape Price is $55 for everything plus actual shipping from 28721. Send me a PM or email at jimwoods7 at earthlink dot net Parts are SOLD.
  14. Tom - there are lots of pictures around showing the stripes on the cars and I am pretty sure they are available repro from places like NPD. The stripe color combos varied with the color of the car and interior.
  15. Bob - usually the 289 ones have the two ports in the back plate, and I can't use those for anything because they are also different internally. I think most of the 390 ones look like the picture I posted on the back. If you have any that look like that - with either a pressed in nipple or the bolted on elbow - and the 7801449 numbers then those are the ones I need. Even 6-cyl cars in the 68-70s range had these though they are the ones with the pressed in nipple. I might even take a "ton" :-)
  16. I have been rebuilding smog pumps and need some cores. I am looking for the ones with the 7801149 casting number on the back plate. Generally paying $250 for one that is complete with the smog elbow and less for those without but will negotiate. Will need a photo to determine value. Call if you want to describe what you have: seven seven oh 8 two 3 one 37 zero. 8AM- 8PM Eastern please.
  17. I think Marcus has some - won't be cheap. anghelrestorations.com
  18. The clip and the collar usually get separated because the clip is actually attached to the steering column. Might find one looking at columns instead of collars.
  19. The Victor Reinz intake gaskets that were available in a variety of port sizes for FE engines are extinct / NLA. I have been using the standard Reinz intake gasket with very good success and will continue to use them. They are available at Carquest as MS 15166X. For head gaskets, the Fel Pro 1020 works for me (iron heads). That is what you get when you order the Ford Racing head gaskets for FE.
