Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 We're done. All went fine. Clutch linkage was a real b*itch to work around header/steering box driver corner, but it's all good. Next I have to put everything back around the motor (fairly easy as no A/C and no PS on this car), put the rockers in and we'll be ready to crank it!! Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks guys. I really need to hear what she's got to say, now. I miss this V8 music super badly. I want to hear it with the new camshaft and the roller set-up. I am getting fairly impatient here... Makes me feel like a kid! Edit: the new shifter feels absolutely amazing! This too is going to be great.

Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) Excellent! I was actually wondering yesterday evening whether I should change the boot as I went from the round stock stick to this one. Great hint, PG. Thanks man! Edited July 27, 2014 by Guillaume69
Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted April 29, 2014 Very nice! What undercoating did you use? We used a product from a brand called Gator Guard. A 2 part epoxy bedliner. http://www.amazon.com/Gator-Guard-Truck-Bed-Liner/dp/B003LAZ8H6

BuckeyeDemon 211 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Almost there... i believe the shock tower braces go under the cowl lip if it matters.
Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Well, as I was putting the braces, I wondered about this (above or under?). I meant to check in my books and stuff, but thanks for your expertise Buckeye! I'll correct it ASAP.
Flanders 46 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 motor looks great. That's a damn clean engine bay! In the engine pic, is there an upper rad mount missing? I just re-painted mine the other day, that's the only reason I noticed -- mine has A/C and is a bit wider than yours -- not sure if they mount differently or not. Just curious! Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 No A/C here. This radiator is brand new. But it looks very similar to my original, except for the materials. I'll double check. Thanks!
RogerC 136 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Smaller radiator has side mounting flanges and doesn't use the bottom saddles and top bracket.
Guillaume69 150 Report post Posted May 1, 2014 Right, it mounts with 4 bolts that are running through side flanges. Nothing at top or bottom.
