  1. It will be a while before i build any thing .I just had this bender here for about 3 years now and got tired of bending by hand . I want to build another Pre runner /Ford off road pick up but i have to find one first .I have a 78 but i would have to smog that so i am looking for a pre 75 .hopefully a 66. I have bent all my scraps though :) Bob has been quiet ...I bet he is building some high tech cart for his bender in secret .
  2. I have a large order i am working on at the moment ,but i could have a set by mid week next week .Do you just need the large seat side panels ?
  3. The plug in you have circled in the first pic ,Does it just wind around the main harness and run to the front of the car ? Also ,was it a scooped hood original. That may be the front lead to the turn signals but it is hard to see to tell .
  4. It may be possible to use a 67-68 piece as patches The window channel should be close to the same as the 69 .The 69 may be wider towards the trunk lid than the 67-68 ..They all use the same molding clip so the channel must be close to the same .The piece would be cheap enough to try, and may save time making patches.
  5. I have slight moderator powers on another forum ,for a couple of years now .I can move posts ,edit post and delete post .I am sometimes afraid i will delete someones post by accident ,hasn't happened yet .Cross fingers .
  6. This wire is the scoop wire ,there is one more that goes to the front of the car
  7. The turn signals un plug at the front of the car ,a jumper harness plugs in between the turn signal and the factory wire and goes back to the hood scoop .I think you can buy this jumper wire now .
  8. Way to go guys ...does this mean i now have to call you Sir?
  9. $200 a pair ,like said though shipping has been the problem because they do not stack well so it takes a large box I just sent a set to Florida for $89 shipping ,i didn't think that was to bad .
  10. The chrome shop we have in Visalia will strip chrome for us .It leaves the metal scratch free . very nice job
  11. A picture is worth a thousand words ....and the words are usually very nasty . I have tried repro parts that i would have made new curse words for .
  12. This is how it is done . The pin is on the main caps ,and it must be removed .
  13. Neoprene seal is much better if installed correctly .I have changed them with the motor still in the car but it is not a lot of fun ,having a lift helps .
  14. There is nothing prettier than a 69 Boss in calypso Coral . I painted a 70 Boss, grabber yellow and it was plain ,plain, plain ..until i added the stripes . the black changes the look of both colors .
  15. If it is just a hole you could just patch it with the same gauge sheet metal ,like rwcstang said ,post a couple of pics .It may not be as bad as you think .
  16. Sorry but the piece behind the rear window would be different for a 67-68 ,is it totally beyond repair ?
  17. Very nice ! The one i make is identical
  18. That is really looking sweet .I make a tear drop AFX type hood for 64-65 Falcons .I made the molds a few years ago for a local drag racer .
  19. I think i may add one more shelf down at the bottom. It is nice to have short pieces of bends in different degrees to figure out the correct bend in a roll cage ,bottom shelf for different degree bends and the top shelf for bender parts ,level and what evet tools that may be needed .It is heavy ,but rolls very easy .I figure the weight will keep it from tipping over with a long tube in the bender .
  20. You know the problem with it being mobile don't you ? It will get borrowed more than you will use it
  21. I just have to take it apart and paint it ,and i will be ready to start on a new pre runner .
  22. A 60 gallon tank at least ,anything less will constantly run and probably not keep up . I bought the biggest one Lowes had and it is a pretty decent compressor .If you are looking at it money wise just remember it will run your tools a lot better having a good compressor as well and wont burn up . Your local paint supplier will probably have a combo pack of HVLP paint guns for between 100 -150 ,that is a gun for paint ,one for primer and a touch up gun . A good dryer is also needed or you could ruin a paint job with moisture from the compressor and air lines . And also and most important ,get a good respirator .
  23. I always use MR Gasket gaskets ,I use a thin film of red silicone .They usually don't leak .
