  1. Ya I saw that Dynacorn came out with the frame a year or so ago but thats alot of coins for me, would rather spend it else where on the car. Thx though. I was thinking that the release mechanism and stuff could be possibly adapted into an existing high back frame with a little welding and such.
  2. Forgot to ask, what are your plans for the floor ?
  3. Great video!! Good eye on the front tire bnickel  I learnt about the screwing the tires down the hard and expensive way early on when I started racing. :001_rolleyes: Agree with the adding a little more air in the rears.
  4. Rusty it's great to have you bring this project over here !! Can't wait to see your guys great work here. Amazing what people do when working on their cars, body or mechanical. That has to be one of the better ones though ! I haven't looked on there yet ( SPIusers forum) but would imagine you're going to us SPI products ? So what are the plans for this one ? Good luck !
  5. Great stuff !! That should be a little bit of a motivator with getting a little color on her :thumbup1: I know you'll remove some for welding, but let us know how it went with the paint on. I do recall seeing some guys just us some epoxy adhesive of some kind to seal theirs up.
  6. Ok so I'm getting a little frustrated with my long search for a '69 drivers side high back seat, even just the frame. So for those of you that have reupholstered front seats or may even know, can a bucket seat w/headrest be some how converted into a high back seat. Keep in mind that I have 2 passenger seats and could use parts from one. I always find '69 headrest style seats or '70 seats for some reason. I can only see that the back release is in the same spot, half way up the backrest. I don't mind guesses, but please don't state something as fact if you don't know for sure. Thx guys !
  7. So doing my usual search for parts on-line and I came across some prices that really shocked me (all '69). $500 for a new NOS hood trim and $600 for new NOS rocker trim pieces and there was an original used rocker trim for $300. Also saw $800 for NOS '70 rocker trim. I'm I really that far behind on prices or are these within the usual range ?
  8. A little late, but welcome to the forum ! I think you have my frame rails beat lol. Nice job on the rotisserie, looks well made. Have you you decided on anything regarding the build, like color, engine etc ? Look forward to your progress and good luck.
  9. Thats kinda amazing, usually when you see that stuff it's hiding something ugly. I will try to only draw good memories for the next questions lol :shifty:
  10. So with out making this long winded, you DID receive part #3647YB ? I pulled out my Dynacorn catalog and that # is showing for a LH seat platform for coupe/fastback. Would you not be looking for a one piece seat platform for a convertable ? If that is the case you would need 3647YWT (only comes in weld through primer now) Even though it's listed for "65-'68 it should still fit a '69-'70. Hope I understand what you meant, if not forgive me. Ok, so I had to make an order with Dynacorn and I asked him the ? regarding what you were wondering (I hope :) ) So he said yes the 3647YWT would fit your car, if you are looking for a one piece, but did say that he thinks that it sits a little higher that stock, it seems that is what most people want. Hope this may help some.
  11. It's mostly your cam that effects your vacuum.
  12. I don't think I ever came across that before, sounds good. Especially for those that like to keep as much stock look/parts as possible on their car.
  13. That would be great, look forward to it - Thx !
  14. You should of done a thread or could you ? There are a few on here that in the near future are putting in or thinking about installing a TKO.
  15. Getting a good start on the interior ! Do you need a dash pad for it (especially after all your detail work on the lower) ? I had to look at your marti report again, it is a nicely optioned car. Don't think I've heard of those door panels before, but then I haven't researched them in awhile. I see you chose the stock seat covers vs the beefed up bolster ones, seems I can never decide on which ones. What did you ever find under all that spray foam on the rear wheel well area ? Always look forward to your updates :thumbup1:
  16. Look at this post. http://www.1969stang.com/mustang/forum/showthread.php?t=16369
  17. What style flasher relay do you have installed ? Like Brian suggests, stick with the simple first.
  18. So what are your plans for the coupe ? Look forward to seeing your progress.
  19. Now Ash that looks like that would be fun to put into something !
  20. Ya, back then to fix up a Chev engine vs a Ford, Chev had a lot of stuff that was interchangable, relatively cheap and a broad selection (eg cam offerings) compared to Ford where hardly anything was interchangable and expensive. And when it came to Mustang part's '69-'70's always seemed to have the more expensive parts. Things seem to have evened out a little better now.
  21. What transmission do you have, I'm guessing auto ? If so, is it kicking down when doing a hard throttle ? Is the carb accelerator pump and float working/adjusted correctly ? Running a little hot - more info ? Only a couple of guesses with little info.
  22. Good work so far ! Feels good when you jump a big hurdle. As for the car dolly, I don't think I ever considered using that kind of tubing. Looks like it will work Ok and if you mount the car right you can even use it for a datum reference. Here are a couple cheap idea's to hold it in place vs buying and having to mount new caster wheel's with locks. The first one is only a couple of bucks but the second one would probably work better and have to buy fewer. Just a thought :001_cool: Good luck with the other side.
  23. Ever since Mr Sawchuck sold it way back then I haven't gone back to often. I tried on a number of occasions but found them to be kind of arrogant or couldn't give you the time of day every time I went in there. I got them straight from Dynacorn. I was going to order them from CJ Pony during their shipping sale to Canada, but after exchange and such it ended up being a lot cheaper.
  24. Sorry about that, the clevand is on the left. Made the correction, I just thought by then I was babbling to much . They made a ton of power on the top end, without much modifications. Had a real problem keeping header gaskets in them and found them pretty usless for any sensable street driving. I always wanted to try them on a windsor, but just have never got around to trying them.
  25. Also did a little shopping, got all the inner aprons from Dynacorn and a rear tail light panel cheap on Kijiji. They managed to get all the aprons into one box, sure helped with shipping costs.
