  1. From experience can tell they can be messed up really easy. Your best hope it’s a tumbler is sticking. Spraying some lock lube and jiggling or around may fix it.
  2. I think I know how most of it goes but the fuel sender wire has me perplexed. There is a hole on the passenger side. Does the fuel sender wire cross all the way over to the passenger side to get under the car to the sender? TIA
  3. When ever I start getting pissy about all the new body parts I had to replace on my so called "rust free" car, I just look at some of the projects y'all take on.. Just wow.
  4. Hi, I've been entertaining the idea of converting my 69 with lanyards to the 70 style. Are the holes in the hood in the same location? TIA
  5. I don’t know if this is an issue for you but the 69 and 70 are different Length. There is a bracket behind the panel that the cup screws into. I think the brackets are different too.
  6. According to AFR today, the 185 exhaust ports are in the stock location.
  7. I need header suggestions The original 69 351w in a fastback arf 185 heads 4r70w auto unisteer power rack Anyone done that? What is a good fit. Shorties/clips a plus Thanks
  8. Depends on the look you want. Classic has a version to add vents in the upper/lower dashes. It fits in the same as factory locations. If you want a more factory corrected look, you’ll have to buy a upper and lower dash.
  9. Is using stainless steel fastener for the motor, such as timing cover, intake and other accessories a bad or good idea. jf
  10. That’s the one that cam in my’69 kit.
  11. I would pull the box out entirely. They tend to be fragile. Trying to split the box in place is a big risk in my opinion.
  12. I would imagine you could wire it up without a factory harness.
  13. Oh yes! If you can get one with someone sitting with it hooked. Up. I would like to see how it routes around the high back seat and across the neck/chest. Sorry if I’m asking for to much.
  14. I’ve seen those too I’m really curious how the shoulder belt hits across the chest. Would like to see a picture with someone sitting in the car. I read the shoulder belt should mounted at least 12” above the shoulder.
  15. I've spent days looking for recent post on this topic, didn't find much, but ended up with questions. 69 mach1 Couldn't find a picture of some one sitting in their car with the drop down extension, particularly with the high back seats. I thought what I wanted was the drop-down but after seeing the Seatbelt Store installation photos (in a 70 sportroof), it didn't look like it was laying on the guy's neck badly, particularly how the belt has to route around the high back seat. I'm only 5'9" (and shrinking) Also being able to push the seats all the back my not be an issue for me. Anyone have any experience with this situation and/or, photos, updates? tia I do have to add….. The factory didn’t use a drop down. Maybe we are just smarter now????
  16. I assume either the grande or cougar had a power Window option?? it would seem a natural to transplant some from those cars? oh you said locks. I had windows on the brain…..
  17. Ah, the mother of all invention....... good job
  18. Well it sounds like there is hope. I was talking to a guy today, indicated it might not solve my problem. With the battery in the trunk I was trying to fit a spare. Are the space saver smaller in overall diameter?
  19. I'm reviving this post because Aslanefe didn't get an answer to his question. Is there a doughnut spare that will fit our cars? Thanks
  20. We’ll fortunately I live in Houston. Never use the parking brake. Not a hill to be seen for a hundred miles ……
  21. I don’t have the hole by the ignition switch or dimples. Curious, where does the other end of the park brake light wire go to? I don’t seem to have any stray wires under the dash. The AAW harness instructions says for use only with the Dakota aftermarket gauges. ??? Is it going to be hot all the time?
  22. Ok, here's my stupid question for the day..... My AAW update harness has a wire labeled "park brake light" I've seen other sites eluded to the park brake light. For the life of me, I can't find a park brake light on the dash/instruments panel. I have a brake warning light which I assumed goes to the connection on the brake distribution block. Is there one?? This is a 69 mach1. non-tach thanks john
  23. The only party on this transaction that did nothing wrong was you. And you’re the one getting screwed?? I hope this seller makes good. We all should take note and remember this seller.
  24. 30g that's small. The smallest wire I have isn't labeled, dam. What do you think the wires on a 9v battery connector are. Kinda irks me to buy a whole spool that I will never use again. I already have a bunch of those...... Thanks for the info. john
