I have a Lincoln 220v welder that I bought for doing the sheet metal work on our 2 Mustangs & I love it.

I like the clean look of the Mach-1 without the stripes.

Welcome, a 70 Coupe is a nice Mustang, I had one back in 1975 as my first car, it was white w/a blue interior & a black/blue checked vinyl roof 250 6cyl & an auto.

Wanted, R/S (passenger side) Mach-1 woodgrain dash panel with the clock for my 69 Coupe project. Please let me know how much you want for it & for shipping to Canandaigua,NY 14424. Thanks, Mike.

Congrats, I am so jealous I am so far from running my cars.

Check to make sure the gauge posts are not grounding out on the cluster body, I have heard several instances from some of the guys on www.Vintage-Mustang.com about this.

For my 69 Coupe which originally came with a 302 I am trying to decide do I go with a crate engine 351 stroker, or stay with the original 302 v& use a tfs-k514-360-350 trick flow 360hp twisted wedge top engine kit & then just rebuild the bottom end. What do you all think?. The car will be used as a weekend cruzier. It will be a 5 speed stick with 3.55 rear gears.

IMHO leave the 4 headlight system that is part of what makes a 69 look so cool.

I would say hold on to it & ONLY sell it as a last resort. My wife & I are going through alot of money problems right now & we would not think of selling our cars, granted they are noware close to what yours looks like but we do not want to let them go none the less.

I drive a 2000 Ranger Extd Cab 4X4, & my wife drives a 1999 Explorer Sport.

The seats from a 69 Mustang will deffinately bolt to the 1968 Mustang seat platforms as I did this many years ago when I had a 68 Coupe & installed 69 Mach-1 seats in it.
-
On my 68 GT Coupe I had many years ago I stripped off the argent paint & left them chrome, I thought it looked better. I am planning on doing that with my 69 Coupe.

I like it. -
I thought I remember reading someone is making repo power brake pedals & clutch pedals for the purpose of swapping trans. I want to replace my auto & go to a 5 speed in my 69 Coupe.
-
I voted for you Jim. Nice Mustang.

Thanks for the help Grabber70Mach.

I am test fitting the f/e sheet metal on my 69 Coupe project car & found that I am missing the the L brackets that secure the headlight buckets to the radiator support. Anyone have these & want to sell them to me?. TIA.

My 69 Vert Project...Let The Games Begin
Mike65 replied to flight96's topic in Project Progress Forum
Looking good. My 69 Coupe in my sig pic is on hold for now. all the f/e sheet metal is on now & the f/e is primed brown. Next is drivers side front floor. -
As someone else stated check under the carpet for thew condition of the floors, pour water through the cowl vents to see if they leak.
-
WOW!!! your Mustang looks awesome.
-
Zach, here is a pic of my 69 Coupe, a nothing special 302, auto. Since the pics the headlight buckets, splash pan, & the gravel pan are on & the whole f/e is primed red. Making slow progress. Right now I am just collecting parts.

It is nice seeing more prople building the Coupes. Alot of people look down on the Coupes because it is not a Vert or a Fastback. I like the Coupes. The one in my sig pic is my 4th. I have had 1-70, 1-69, 1-68 GT, & my current 69. I like the looks of the 69 the best.
