  1. Ok, frankly the search is failing... I would like to keep the search within the Dallas sort of area but I am willing to look at any fastback from 1965 through to 1969. Hopefully a mild resto-mod with some mild power mods. Let me know if you have anything! :D
  2. Hey... surely with a vinyl top it would be a coupe? Still hunting... out-of-state car was not quite right so the search continues.. let me know if anyone has anything... :shifty:
  3. Well I thought this could be interesting... depending how into it people get... I wanna see what cars everyone drives other than their Mustang... If your Mustang is your daily then fine, but if you have something else you use on a day-to-day basis lets see it! I wanna see cars you own, not cars you have driven or wanna drive etc... So I'll kick this off! Heres my daily... It's a 1980 Ford Escort Mk2, the Euro/Australian version, completely different to the ones you get in the United States... http://1andonlywhitie.deviantart.com/art/My-Ford-Escort-123310631 Now what's everyone else got!?
  4. Hey! Thanks for replying! As for those links, I have been keeping an eye on Craigslist... One of those links was deleted, one has been sold and the '70 in Rowlett we actually went to see in person and wasn't quite what I was after... I don't wanna say it was overpriced in case the owner is on this site... :shifty: I'm scouting a possible car at the moment, out of state, but ideally (if this one falls through...) someone on here will have one in thir garage nearby that they would like to offload for a reasonable price... The search continues...
  5. How much over?? I can stretch to about $18-20k but thats about it... :P
  6. Hey man, Awesome looking car... What are the "few things" that need doing? Also... you say firm but is there any negotiation room in there?? :D
  7. Thanks guys... the price was fairly high so it may be a miss... Just gotta hang in there I guess...
  8. Alright, thanks... the car came from New York and is now in Illinois... I realise they do get a bit of snow so this could be bad, depending on the driver... What do you think? I'll need one with no major rust repairs so it's a tough call...
  9. Hey, I am looking at buying a '69 Mach 1 clone. The body, interior, paint etc. are immaculate. The only problem is the underbody, I have gotten some photos from the seller which I have attached below...can you guys please look over them and tell me whether you think it is serious or not?? A.S.A.P would be good as the seller has another potential buyer... I would go and look in person but the car is out of state... Any help would be great! Thanks!
  10. Thanks... must have missed that topic... There are Mustangs in Australia but they are quite ridiculously priced. I saw that ugly one! No idea what inspired that guy, why mess with the classic lines of the car?? And I will not be making a paddock bomb by any means, just a nice daily driver with a few little touches of personality through it...
  11. Hello all! I am a newbie to the site, I've already posted in the Cars Wanted section but never really knew where to post my introduction topic but here it is! I am actually all the way from Brisbane Australia but my family moved to Dallas about 2 years ago. Since they moved and the opportunity to buy a Mustang became an option I have been thinking and dreaming about buying a '69 Mach 1 or something similar. Hopefully no-one gets upset when I say I plan on taking the car back to sunny Brisbane once I have it perfect. My mum, also a revhead, drives a black on black '08 GT/CS. My first/current car back in Brisbane is a Mk2 Ford Escort, which is nothing like the Escort you get here in the States...you can check it out at this link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4146&id=100000115267657&l=e1e7ff5921 So yes! Now you know who I am... :shifty:
  12. Thanks for the warm welcome! Me and my Mum (She is also a car/Mustang fan, she has a '08 GT/CS.) are keeping an eye out. Good to know I have other people to ask for advice since my knowledge of Mustangs is not quite up to scratch yet!!
  13. Hey guys, I am in the market for a '69 fastback and stumbled across this website. I am looking for a nice driver-quality fastback, maybe something like a Mach 1 or Boss 302 clone. Ideally it would be a stick shift with a 302/351 motor. I would be willing to look at almost anything though. Please no rust or at least minimal rust if possible! Haha. I have a budget of around $15,000. I'm in Dallas Texas so ideally the car would be reasonably close but I would be willing to travel for the right car. So lets see what you guys have got! Thanks! David :D
