  1. those are fiero seats. i had mr. mikes make the covers to match the design of the factory seats. these seats are very comfortable. i also like having the speakers in the headrest. Pakrat put me onto the idea of the seats.
  2. i am using the hump hugger full length and it works well.
  3. i have a 351c and was having some cooling issues awhile back. mine is bored 40 over and would climb quickly in stop and go traffic. i was also having a pinging or pecking noise coming from the engine after shut-down. i got the temp to drop considerably by putting a mr. gasket high flow thermostat in and went with a 160 or 170 degree i think. the noise was not resolved until i pulled the motor back out to replace the open chamber heads to closed. while the motor was on the stand, i rolled it and heard something metal moving around. come to find out, the company that did the machine work on my block knocked a freeze plug in and didnt remove it before reinstalling new ones. these were supposed to be reputable people. why do people have to half a$$ stuff? anyway, noise gone and cooling seems tones better. oh yea, stock radiator and no fan shroud. only reason for not having a shroud is because i am considering an e-fan set up.

  7. i am running fiero seats and love them. they recline and have speakers in the headrest.
  8. i spoke with the mfg today and found out a little more. the rep said the box has a built-in pressure valve that is in the closed position when going straight and opens up as you turn to provide power assist. much like the new cars where there is hardly any power steering on straight aways and more in curves and parking situations. the gear box does not change any of the factory steering geometry so there is no bump steer. the only clearance issue was with the factory z-bar manual transmissions. this maybe a good alternative to the r&p set up after all. jmlay, thanks for those links. that was some good info too!
  9. i dont know much about this set up. it looks like the power steering hoses attach to the gear box itself. i havent had a chance to contact the company for additional info.
  10. anyone familiar with this and how it may work verses R&P set up? https://www.borgeson.com/xcart/home.php?cat=104
  11. i am looking at possibly putting a/c on my car in the next few months and was wondering if anyone has used the vintage air gen IV system. if anyone has any used the system, i would like to know what to expect and the quality of fit and function. thanks.
  12. i like the looks of the powerjection lll it is simple, clean and straight forward. i wonder what the performance gains are over a carb since it is designed like one? i also contacted pricemotorsports and they have an adaptor to fit a late model 351w truck lower intake to the cleveland but it wont match up to the car upper. he did say that another company was making an adaptor for that but i am concerned about clearance issues at this point with all the adaptors.
  13. do they make an intake to fit efi on a cleveland? the heads are wider than the 302. if so, it could be an option.
  14. well, i had to pull it from the show. the tranny in my truck took a dump today and will have to be rebuilt. i cant see spending the money needed for the display stuff for the show when it is needed for the tranny. bummer but there is next year. i was glad it was accepted thou.
  15. my car was origionally a 6 cyl car with a 3 sp manual tranny. the cleveland motor was added by a previous owner. origionality is not an issue with me. my goal is drivablity and reliability. my wife will drive the car from time to time and is not good with a carb motor. i am still up in the air about it but really like the idea of efi. get in - start up - drive. better fuel milage also. i drive this car as much as possible and it like the gas. i can still get the t5 if i decide against the whole swap.
