Hi Guys
First post here, I have a few ?? for you all. My buddy of mine wants to sell me his 1969 grande. I have had it for a week now checking it over and test driving it. Here is a little about the car.
The car is in really close to excellant condition. There is no bondo that i can tell ( checked with magnet ) on the body itself no rust anywhere .
The paint is in really good condition. I believe it is around 10 to 15 yrs old, the paint job. It is definately isnt show quality or anything, if you stand back 15 feet or so , it looks it but when up close you can see the usuall wear from driving, ( very little tiny rock chips and hardly any scratches)
Up on the top of door railing there is some really tiny paint bubbles ,( maybe 3 or so on each side of car ) its right above the the top door chrome trim . In the drip ledge that runs along top of the door . It is hardly noticable even if your looking for it
The interior is excellant like new, with the exception of above the drivers side sun visor , right under it, a mouse got up in there when it was in storage and chewed 2 holes in the headliner . You cant see them when the visor is up.
THe car has a 302 , built up with close to 400hp, it runs almost perfect , think it might need a little bit of carb tuning though. It always fires right up every time . THe only thing is when you first give it a little gas it has a slight pause to it then goes. If you get on it quicker it is fine but when you take off real slow it hesitates then goes. If not completely warm it does want to stall with that hesitation if you dont give it more pedal.
The engine compartment is decent looking, its not perfect, it could use some cleaning and restoring.
All the trim and moldings, bumpers are excellant condition
It has newer tires and rims , tires about 75% tread left, new batt. THe radio works fine and lights and such.
I need to know what you guys think this car is worth. I am in michigan and I do know that every place I drove the car this week I get nothing but thumbs up and comments on how nice the car is. It is for sure a headturner.
