When I had a 68 GT Coupe with a warmed over 302 (cam, 4bbl intake & carb, & headders) & a C-4 auto. I was running a 3.50 open rear for about 6-7 years & never had a problem.

What did you do to/for your Mustang today?
Mike65 replied to 69_Mustang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
Well all my hopes for working on the Mustang before the winter I think are gone now as we got 9" of snow from the nor' easter yesterday. -
What wheels are you running on your 'Stang?
Mike65 replied to 69_Mustang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
Currently I have the 68/69 Mustang GT wheels on my 69 Coupe but I really like the American Racing Ansen Sprint wheels. I had them on my 68 GT Coupe & I am going to put them on my 69 Coupe. 15 or 16" wheels 8" in the rear & 7" up front. -
I think I have hit that point already as they are predicting 1-3 inches of the white s**t tonight from this nor'easter thats comming. Oh well spring is just 4 months away.

Looking good, keep up the good work.

chop it, drop it, and oh stick a GT40 engine in it.

Not liking it at all , & yes the wheels are terrible. -

I opened the door going from the house to the garage & stared at it & said to it now that all the stuff from outside we packed in the garage for the hurricane is back outside I can get back to work on it. -
Hey guys I am with you on that "must be getting old" comment.

Just an update for everyone through all of this we had power but no phone, cable t.v., or internet which we just got back today. We are about 5 miles from the bay on the western side of Toms River we had NO damage here, just branches & some trees down. I am glad this is over. Mike.

As I sit here typing this the wind gusts are around 45 - 50 mph & the rain seems relentless. This storm is much worse then Irene last year, & is supposed to make land fall between southern Ocean county, NJ & Atlantic City, NJ so it will very close to us here in Toms River, NJ. Everything that could blow around is stacked around the Mustang in the garage. I guess no work will be done untill I can empty the garage next weekend after this mess is gone. Please anyone here in this storms path stay inside & do not go out side. Stay safe. Mike.

Discovery channel doesnt even have the show in their show listing. :(
-
I am very interested in this too as I never liked the side scoop on the 69 Coupes.
-
Congrats. I have another year to go on my Coupe before I hear it run.
-
Congrat Ash I am glad it worked out well & she is doing good.

Looks good. It is starting to look like a car again. :thumbup1:

I just checked Discovery Channel's tv line up for tonight & it is NOT listed to be aired tonight. :(
-
Congrats. The last time I drove a classic Mustang was 1991 just before I sold my 68 j code GT Coupe.
-
They seem to be making some good progress. All the rust/rot spots you talk about on your car seem to be the normal spots on a 69/70 Mustang that I have or will be fixing on my 69 Coupe too. Please keep the updates comming.

This outer rocker panel is listed in CJ'S catalog for 67-70 Mustangs.
