Never seen air cleaner like this before on a mach 1

So that's what a coupe looks like. Hmm... -
The hole in the center goes over the spring bolt.
-
It's really personal preference as 60/70's cars had raised white letters, but it's hard to beat a blackwall.
-
What will kill you on that R code is if a lot of the little things were removed in the engine compartment and you want to take it back to original.
-
Imagine what you'd get if you took the CJ to school!
-
When I started reading your post Jim, I thought about contacting Randalls. Sheesh, idiots everywhere.
-
Good price on both items. You may want to get at least a traction loc for it. Ebay usually has them.
-
To fill the gaps lay a piece of welding wire in there then tack the pieces. I wipe both pieces of metal with acetone or lacquer thinner to clean the surfaces.
-
Thanks, no worries.
-
So the bearing part # looks like you have the small bearing axle?
-
Wow is all I can say. I saw Cruzzar's car today in Bakersfield. The photos don't do it justice. This car is beeeauuuuuuutiful. There may be a flaw in it somewhere, but I didn't see one. Top shelf job on it, congrats. Did you win an award today, you were in an area that had many winners?
-
Thanks for the pics. What model is the red #4 taken from the rt 1/4? Any cool 69 pics from Knotts Berry?
-
Welcome cowboy. Re the 1/4 panel lap joint, a tool is made that will recess one of the panels about an inch which allows the outer line to be flush. Good luck with the car.
-
janike01, that's your first car? Nicely done! Well, you picked a good one.
-
That Baer 69 looks velly nice. Any specs on it, wheel size, engine etc?
-
Thanks Mike. Didn't even think of the dealer.
-
Yep, I believe 30mpg. Back in the late 70's I had a 65 coupe I traded a guy a $42 scope for.. I never checked the mileage, but it would quite a ways on a buck of gas.
-
Mike, where do you get the additive? Online or local?
-
My 69 owners manual shows Ford Hypoid gear lube, Ford part no. C6AZ-19580-B = 90W gear oil. I didn't see where he mentioned a limited slip.
-
I've always used 90w.
-
17x8/9 sc style wheels on 69 fastback??

Excellent look! -
Saw this in my 1969 Mustang Chassis Assembly Manual. Anyone ever heard of them described as this?
-
So nice! Drive it soooon and let us know how it stops.
-
No argument at all. I'm aware that the lowers have about 3/4" adjustment for camber adjustment, but I guess seeing shims on many Mustangs made me think they were from Ford. What is it they say when you (not you Boogerschnot) assume? It's been so long I have no idea where I got my drop template. Having been an insurance auto adjuster for 18 yrs I saw plenty of crappy repairs from all kinds of shops. One of the bad things about the internet is that intent is tough to read. There should be a font for sarcasm, criticism etc.
