  1. I've been looking everywhere for a gasket that goes in between the right exhaust manifold and the spacer for my 428CJ,can't find one anywhere. It appears that it should be flat. Does anyone know where to get one?
  2. I have a question about the colour of the package tray on my 69 Mach. What I have is a deluxe white interior and I don't know what colour the package tray should be. Getting different opinions on this. Does anyone know for sure? Also should the dash extensions be painted charcoal black metallic like the lower dash? Mike:helpsmilie:
  3. Thx for the reply, That's what I thought, might use it anyway as all the gauges are together. I would have to buy an updated tach and the other gauges, so it will make the cluster seem a little cheaper. Now if I could find a Phantom faced clock, that would look sharp, in my opinion.

    Z bar

    Thx, That helped a lot,
  5. I'm trying to figure out how to put my Z bar together.I feel there is something missing. The white bushings on the brackets are much smaller than the ID of the Z bar. Are there other pieces needed to fill in the gap? If so where do I get them? I can't seem to find any info on this. Is there someone with a picture or diagram?
  6. Thanks foe the reply, I'll look around
  7. Thank you, I didn't know it unscrewed
  8. Has anyone bought a JME instument cluster(mechanical speedo) for a 1969 mustang, mustangsunlimted has it. If someone has, how do you like it? It looks really nice in the catalogue.
  9. I'm in the process of re-wiring my 69 mustang with a AAW kit, it does not support the original tach in my car. I will be using an MSD ignition system. Does anyone know of an aftermarket tach that fits in the original bezel that will work on the MSD system?
  10. I am trying to take my clock apart and I'm having trouble with the small adjuster knob at the bottom. Does anyone know how to take it off without destroying it?
  11. I"m about to start wiring my 69 mustang with a American Autowire harness. After reading the instructions I see that the harness will only support an upgraded tachometer, does anyone know where I can buy an upgraded tach that looks like and fits like the original? Also will have to use a voltmeter instead of the ammeter, could change that as well Has anyone had issues with this wiring harness? It would be nice to know before I start.

    My R code project

I bought it for myself and don't plan on selling it, always wanted to do one and now that I have the time & means to do it, I want to, however, I want to keep it somewhat real monetarily. Plan on leaving it to my son when I go to the great mustang stall in the sky.
  13. I am figuring out what my restoration costs will be on my R code mustang I bought. I'ts a Mach 1 with no power steering and manual brakes, it has the deluxe interior and it's a 4 speed car. My Marti report says that only 1600 built with this trim. By the looks of it I will have around $60.000 into it and am wondering if that is too much. EVERYTHING will be new but not all NOS. What's you're thoughts!
  14. Happened to me once and figured out that I had the distributor out 180 degrees, you might want to try to lift out you're distributor and turn the rotor half a turn then drop it back in. Might work.
