  14. Yes and no...your carrier could be a small bearing and the 31 spline might not slip in if it is a factory traction lock...or open carrier ...most after market carriers use the big bearing and can be 28 or 31 splinter.......housings ....will work also but.....small bearing will not except the big bearing carrier.....if you have the big bearing third member...3.06 bearing diameter and carrier you are good to go with 31 spline...hope this helps...might just pull it out and do some checking....and see if you need more stuff......by the way I run the small bearing housing in my car and it works fine...just stuffed it with 31 spline stuff...
  15. First fix the manifold leak then try to tune the carb....
  16. I would repair that in 3 pieces...just some tin snips and some metal....you need take off the rest of the top and look for more damage. ..some vinyl top cars need a whole roof...but that spot can be fixed if thats all it needs...
  17. As long as you have 5 lug 8" axels and drums they will fit into a small bearing 9" housing..all the same 28 spline stuff...the 28 spline stuff is not that bad.. I beat up on that stuff for years under my car.. but when it went mostly track axels started twisting..slicks and nitrous..the 8" will work on the street but if you beat on it hard..it will break..street tires and spirited driving should give you years of use...
  18. Paint it up to you and what you want. My 69 vert was indian fire originally...( sorry pak ).... I wanted a color that popped and caught your eye..so colorado red for me.. I had a 70 that was dk bright aqua..car was just for resale..grabber blue for it..some loved it some hated it..plenty of complements though.. I do have a 70 fastback that was grabber green it will go back grabber green.. just a sexy color..ford must have had a good thing back in the day because they are using the same colors again on there late models..one of the hardest thing is choosing a color...what you plan on doing with the car and what you like should influence you on your color choice... its your car so make a statement and make it yours..one thing you can do is repaint it yourself...for me if I dont like it.. its just around 300 for me to respray...one thing I did on my convertible was spray mulitple colors on the car to help choose which shade I liked...
