  1. I'm in Baytown...want to get it healthy before I sell but if you want to look. I'm ok with that...got 2 others would like to get rid of them first....but...I can build another convertible.......I know I will have the brakes fixed...looking for a condenser to get the ac blowing cold again...don't want to sell crap... If you want to vieu and drink a beer it's fine with me...

  2. ran one on my big motor but had issues with it hitting the screw in freeze plugs.. still have it .. was a good one.. had to grind the solenoid for clearance. Swapped starters to a late model PM cranked the motor fine.. with timing pulled before 800 rpms..
  3. I use mine for pressing pistons on the rods when they are stock/ wheel bearings / lawn mower spindle bearings and pinion bearings and smashing stuff.
  4. mine sleep a lot also... but the coupe will finally come out and play this weekend at the track.

  7. run a wire or cable tie down and tape it up and pull it back up...small hand help also.. you might have lost some slack down under the car.. feed it back up.. Take your time..
  8. I had the factory fuel line as a return down the drivers side to the factory pickup// back in my heavy NOS days..
  9. The exhaust port on the 220 will be restricted ...the ports are really wide...with 1 3/4 headers I would do the 205s...my opinion...the 220s need 2" primary's...you can make it work if you can fab some headers...I bought 2" headers for mine and they are a pain to work with...
  10. Should be able to access in the car...at least you don't have shifter rods in the way like a top loader..

  12. same yes and no.. they all do the same thing but different cap size.. diameters... factory ones encased in rubber for vibrations..aluminum and steel.. So if you find one that has the same yoke you need for your u joints...cut it down and have it balanced.. might be cheaper than a new shaft..
  13. Finally get to use this gem...been in the rafters a while...need decent headlight buckets and grill ...have all I need..I hope.. bought it a long time ago from a guy that made a shelby clone in the seabrook area...

  16. Welcome..im more of a close to stock front suspension guy. lots of aftermarket parts that work with all other parts. Something to consider when buying and modify stuff..ran a 393 for years...ran great and had low compression for 89 octane.. figure budget and what you want to do and take that path..I know I get some flack for this but I'm a 6.0 diesel guy..

Alot of work today...hood aligned fenders aligned..new hood and scoop...a real pain to install and get ligned up...50 year old fenders and chinese hood..not a good match..the scoop is not a short boss... another pain...I just want to squirt some paint...wife is happy I'm working on it...been setting around for a few years...12 I think..don't get be started on hood hinges...
  18. Found this new seal in one of the hoods..yep in the hood... I took to the dump looks like a drum brakes seal...rusted but never installed... anyone need a 50 year old new seal?
  19. Out of 4 hoods I have kept for years...all were beyond repair..
  20. here is my vert..nothing on the side.. a little narrower and tighter than the 70. I do think the scoop helps a lot.
  21. Plan within your budget.. Stock rebuild would be easy.. Modifying with cam and heads may need a new converter and gear change if you go a little wild.. It can be done but what do you want to achieve with it..
