  1. Back from the dead. Here is some updated pics. We moved the rad to infront on the fan now, and put the fan on the back side with better results. Made ducting and the trottle bodies have been upgraded to rmr. The heater core has been replaced as well.
  2. All oem car I would paint it the original colour. Non matching I would paint another colour. Mine was an ugly gold from factory, was painted red when I got it and I left it red. It's not an easy decision, just paint it the way you want it.

  4. Go buy some arp wheel studs. Knock out the old ones and put in the longer studs. Run open end lugs if need be.
  5. MikeStang, would you mind sharing your offset/ bs along with your wheel brand? I got coil overs, 4 link and cut lips. I don't mind paying for wheels if need be.
  6. One of the best mods I have done. One of my cars had a banjo bolt leak for a long time. New copper washers ect(non mustang car, but did this car and did the same to the mustang). Went to a -6 hydro line and no leaks now. Mikestang nailed the the post. I made a mock up line with my braided hose and dash 6 ends. Took it in there and got them to copy the size and fittings. Told them the pressure I wanted and was good to go.
  7. I had the tcp front end, on mine with the shelby drop, and it made one hell of a difference over the stock stuff. My stock stuff was not wore out either. I say go for it.
  8. I always put mine at the collector on an n/a car. Put it on the leanest cylinder side collector. You can buy a clamp on bung so you don't have to weld on the bung. I recommend welding it on. There are 3 a/f gauges that everyone uses(most popular). Aem,lc1 and zeitronix gauges. If your worried about restriction, you can buy or make an 02 extension. I have never done this because I think it won't be as accurate.
  9. I personally would back down to a 17" and put on some mt et street 2. From what I was told and seen first hand the 555R don't actually hook that good. One one car I'm using Toyo 888's. They seem to hook good for around 650wrhp, but the torque kicks on a bit later. I have several buddies with et street2 tires that are around 600-700wheel and the torque is about the same. I'm in the same boat with my tires. Next year i will be running those. I'm right around 700/650ft wheel. I'm running a 4 link on my car so it is a bit easier for me to dial it in.
  10. Awesome rubber width mike! Specs please! I need wider rubber :thumbup1:
  11. That looks very good. Nice job. Nothing's worse than headers.
  12. That system is for that motor unless you tune the stock system some how(stated above). It's much easier to do an aftermarket ecu. That way there is no limits on what engine is in there.
  13. You could do that. Then down the road either run a piggy back ecu or wire in an obd2 port and do a flash tune like a diablo sport or sct ect if you decide to upgrade or want more control. The good thing about the stock ecu's are the cold starts and drivability (if you don't have a good tuner for a standalone). I spent way too much on my fast system. Xfi and xim. I should of done a magnasquirt with a flying lead harness. A quick check online and a ms3 pro with 8' harness is $1,199. I could of bought 2.5 ms3 pro systems for the cost of the fast one. The self learn feature on the ve table works great. I had a buddy do a ms on his fox and I couldn't believe how well the self learn worked. You need to get it tuned for best results I have a buddy who went to the wreckers and got an ecu for his Chevy wagon. He printed off the wiring and pinned out each pin on the ecu. He wired in the obd2 port and did a flash tune. With the hand held tuner he was around 2k invested. He used all the stock sensors out of the wreckers as well. It turned out good. I don't really like the bolt on carb ones. Too many horror stories for me. There are lots of different ways how to do fuel injection. Make sure you do one were you have room to grow or you will pay again. Hope this helps.
  14. Is this with stock leafs or coil overs? How tight are they to the lip and frame? Pics would be awesome.
  15. Got back from the Dyno. Its a mustang Dyno btw. The car made 675 rwhp and 640 ft lbs. had the alt seize up on the final run. It is solid. Had to take the belt off so I could start the car and load it up. Lol some minor things to fix but all in all it was an ok day. Probably lost 20 hp when the alt went. Bran new alt as well. Ha. My goal was 700 wheel, but 24.3 hp off isn't bad. Tuned on 91 pump gas. I'll try to get a vid loaded up one day soon.
  16. Shit luck I would say. I find most people are looking for perfection for dirt cheap. I would be happy if the seller would tell me all of the problems. Every time I buy a car there are problems the seller "forgot" to mention.
  17. These are good. Rpm and stangnet33 nailed it. This site is good for the complete answers though. Good people on here.
  18. Just make sure if you are getting an efi system you can also expand for the future. I did the fast 2.0 and the fast xim. had that years ago. When i did the mod motor swap, very little had to be bought. There are lots out there. I'd get a system that has the most support in your area and or tuner (if it is a stand alone unit) can tune. In one of my other cars, I had an aem v1. The tuners here wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole. I needed it to get tuned, so I emailed maps back and forth to a tuner. Took forever and I didn't know the what the car made. lesson learnt. The biggest thing with aftermarket efi systems is noise! make sure you shield your wires good.
  19. Thanks for the schooling Angel. I had a buddy who put the 15k's in and kept getting tickets over it. He has since put in 6k's and no more tickets. Must of been the colour.
  20. I had done the big block mod to my towers, along with tcp front suspension. I was very pleased with the results. The car handled better then ever. Now I just done the r&c m2 front end. I like the look but have yet to test it out. If it's an original 428 car it would be left all stock. I found the tcp is very easy to do, basically all nut and bolt. The m2 front end is a fair amount of work and bit more money. Hope this helps. Bad ass looking motor btw!!
