  1. Has anyone had any luck sleeving a 351 C motor? Mine is bored 44 over. Everything I've read says not to go over 30,or heating problems will occur.
  2. Can any one suggest a good car cover. I had a small fire in my house and need to use my shop. It's only for a few weeks but it is winter and want to protect my baby.
  3. I've been wondering if it will bolt up to 351C.
  4. I too had that same radiator in mine and went to 24 4 core. Don't waste your time with a three core. It's pretty easy to fab new brackets.
  5. Is it necessary to fill the converter before installing. If so what will happen if you don't?
  6. You should replace the front end stuff first to see if that helps. More than likely your steering box is shot, with over 2 inches a play in you wheel. It should only have about 1/2 inch. Flaming river makes the best up grade for the box about $500. If you work ebay you can get one for $350.00 / $400. Good luck.
  7. Sorry it took so long to get back to this but have been real busy. Ok after doing more research I decided against the clutch fan, but I did buy a 6 bladed flex fan. It was little longer blade so I had to adjust the radiator to make it work. Not much difference. I'm trying all the cheap fixes first. Next will try the wrecking hard for a taurus puller fan. Ok 69gunslinger here's the break down. I went with custom pistons because it was already 40 over and I wanted bore as little as possible. Arias pistons Comp roller cam #32-246-4 Dur @ .230/236 Lift .562/.565 Comps "Ultra Pro Magnum" roller rockers #1830-16 Bore 4.044 Head gasket .040 Stroke 3.5 Deck 0-.005 Rod 5.780 offset pin Comp height 1.645 Held 63cc Dome 1.3cc Edelbrock performer ported
  8. I put a 1 inch longer spacer on the car but that made things worse. I was told by a mechanic that it needs to be closer to the edge of the shroud otherwise it won't pull enough. Clutch fan next and back to the stock spacer.
  9. As always you guy's rock when it comes to trouble shooting. i will hit up the wrecking yard for a longer spacer first. Then go from there. Thanks Ken
  10. The bore is 4.044 over. The fan is about 2 inches from the radiator and it's seems to be a short shroud. The clutch fan and 6 blade fan from summit might be a better choice, than the stock 5 blade fan. The plugs pic isn't very clear but their pretty red in color. I'm assuming because of the octane booster.
  11. Wycked 69 it does have 11.5-1 compression and only has 100 miles on the motor. As far as the octane booster goes only one works NOS. It has a flow kooler high volume water pump. Mach 1 Rider do you have any pic's of the plates you put on?
  12. Is any one else running that much compression on a 351C? If so how are you cooling it?
  13. Yes Bob it has a fan shroud and a fresh radiator.
  14. I have the correct thermostat and it works. I think the problem is the 11.5-1 compression. My old book says that it came with 11.495-1 according to De Tomaso Internet community forum it really only had 10-1. I just wanted the stock compression and I was going to run octane booster. The car runs fine on the freeway but not at all around town.. Any thoughts? http://pantera.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/5650045562/m/319104265
  15. I do have a friend with a temp gun and will try that tonight. My machinist put the motor together, so not worried about the gaskets.
