Might want to give Paul a call at Mustang MD in Castaic CA. I'm pretty sure I saw several 69 fenders there last time I visited him. He doesn't like to ship parts to flaky unknown people, but told me he'd ship them for my friends. I'd use Henry fenders if available.

    His number is 818-367-0055.

I dropped by the other day and he doesn't have any good 69 fenders.

Interesting responses. I agree it looks great and I would do it before painting. The squeaks and rattles probably would annoy me, but man that car looks good with the slats, and its the only car that does. Since mine didn't come with the added rear wing, they just won't look good to me. The chin spoiler is a must! One thing that car needs is a good backup camera. I put one on my C5 and it helped immensely.

Yep, I agree.  The rear visibility is so poor I added a rear camera on the license plate frame. It works pretty well but mine doesn't have enough side view to see all the way to the outer edges. Better than nuttin though.

  3. Damn. Sorry to hear this, but you are not alone. Last year in October while leaving Ogallala Nebraska I backed into a parked Yukon damaging my bumper and rear panel. Back circa 1999 with the 69 idling I was adding tranny fluid. Apparently it was started in reverse, and when the trans had enough fluid, it took off into an 8x8 gate post. Damaged the quarter panel, bumper, deck lid,  and rear body panel.

    I feel your pain bro.

Have you used octane booster when you fill up your tank? The needle on my Holley Ultra XP was sticking until I started using the octane booster. If I fill up and don’t put in the octane booster right away it starts sticking again. I’ve already taken the needle out and cleaned it prior to using the octane booster and continued to stick.

It wouldn't take too many fill ups along with a can of octane booster to pay for a new carburetor.
