  1. Wake up fellers! Just a bit slow on here eh? Finally got my Quick Fuel 680cfm vacuum secondaries (Holley based) carb dialed in real nice. Was having a stumbling issue at WOT, not that I do that even close to a regular basis. But it bugged me never the less. Started by increasing the jet sizes on the secondaries without any effect. Then increased the primaries without any effect. After doing some reading and calling a few guys, I increased the the power valve from 6.5, which Holley says is correct from their math, to a 9.5. The motor never performed better. Butt, the afr at highway cruise was way low at 12.5. Swapped in an 8.5 and all is well. Great afr numbers at idle, acceleration, and, WOT. Know how my Mustang likes to change on its own, so knows how long this will last.
  2. 59¼" is what my poor memory was saying, but I wasn't about to post it. That Casey feller knows everything.
  3. This is Tom's first diy alignment post I found when searching, so I'll post it. https://fyi.boardhost.com/viewtopic.php?id=7714
  4. @Huskinhano has posted his diy alignment method here and on vmf. I do mine mine with a digital angle finder, tape measure, and string.
  5. @lalojamesliz has the same distributor, but has been mia lately.
  6. Hmm... maybe one of the moderators just might change your screen name to that.
  7. Yikes! Is that why you didn't get an 8 stack injection? :)
  8. But the real question is do you have a red 69 Mustang?
  9. On my triangulated 4 bar rear I put the trans and pinion at the same angles. No issues after 6 years.
  10. Ya, mixing and matching parts doesn't always go according to plan. Back circa Y2K I bought some cheap Hedman hedders made for 302/351w swaps. The good thing with the taller 351w is the collectors were tucked up nicely.
  11. That should lighten her up a bit.
  12. Nice score. Building up your car count with late models eh.
  13. One of the things taught in the police academy is people will lie to you. Sorry you had dealings with one of them.
  14. Why won't the JBA headers fit, different bolt pattern on the Trick Flows?
  15. The first power window I used was from Spal. They used a cable that had a female gear that used the stock cranking gears. It lasted a couple of years, but I couldn't find replacement parts. Everyone was out of stock, and Spal didn't list any power window products.
  16. You need the angled part 10A885 to screw the pieces together and stay snug. And welcome to the friendliest Mustang forum around. Please introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your Mustang. And pics, we love to see pics of cars.
  17. I've had the Nu-Relics on my 69 without issue for a few years. There is an install issue with the driver side arm that mounts to the rear hole on the glue in glass bracket. This lip on the bottom edge needs to be removed so the flat arm can move in its entire range of motion. The passenger side arm is stepped to avoid the contact.
  18. Chrysler...Buick...Chivy... who keeps track of those cars anyway?
  19. A one off hand built Euro looking style. The Speed Demon LSR. The amount and quality of the work is mind boggling. A Ring Brothers crazy build. It has 10,000 so hours and 2,000 design hours in it. I love this belly tank LSR. The engineering and fab work is top shelf. Jimmy Shine's hemi Charger. He's had it to 180 at El Mirage. This Chrysler Invicta is so nice. It won the Shonamaker or close award. Most of the cars had turbos, blowers, or 8 stack injection. Even the cars parked outside the 7? buildings were well built. I can't imagine what these guys spend on just taking these cars to shows. The displays for the car, trailers, lodging, fuel, yikes.
  20. This little guy took home the nearly 10 foot trophy. It wasn't my top pick. I would've given the top pick to one of these two. This 67 Fairlane was a clean cool build with a B9. Kevin Hart's all carbon fiber 70 Charger. I love the 57 Ranchero styling.
  21. Yep. It was kinda weird. But it did get everyone's attention.
  22. I bought a couple sets of 8242-4B, and only one molding came close to fitting. So I repaired my old ones. And the clip kit for the hood lip molding wasn't long enough to catch on the width, so I dug out and cleaned up my originals. If I hadn't already installed the fender extensions of have taken them into NPD Ventura and gone thru what they had that fit. This was a few years ago, so hopefully quality has improved. But buyer beware.
  23. Just read a thread on VMF where a guy had the chrome trim on his 65 powder coated black. https://www.vintage-mustang.com/threads/do-they-make’em.1209849/
