Squeezing the two tabs together should pinch them in place ,problem is they like to plug up
-
They are both actually fairly easy to install if you have the spring tool ,its pretty much a hook on the end of a screwdriver ,reach in ,hook the spring and pull until it locks into the trim ring . I made one from a small philips screw driver but you can buy one at the auto parts store

Wow ,i could sure use a front and rear bumper for a 56 ford fairlane !

Picked up another one of these things! This one is a 2006 GT with 120,000 miles on it ,black with black and red interior . These kids just keep messing them up and i just happen to have the parts to fix them good as new !already has new brakes all the way around and he just did the full front suspension . He fried the tranny but i just happen to have one here. I have everything to fix it ,even the black paint ...my new stable is growing !
Problem is i have enough parts to build one more ,damn it !

No sale page ,i just make them . They are made from 69 panels but the only difference is where the little cover is where the windlace meets the top of the panel ,with the little cover in place they work on 69 and 70 . Message me .

I would measure the distance between the other side ,the rocker may have sprung out a bit when the old torque box was removed

Bolts through the fender ,j clip on the radiator support

Yes ,the stone deflector molding is argent also ,although all the trim does have a polished back edge ,only the wide center is painted
-
The grill trim is argent ,people would clean the paint off if it scratched or started to flake

I used to have a couple of 68 69 cobra torinos ,the hood cut out is the same as the mustang
-
They are the same ,just dont buy the cheap one ,get the original stamping one ,they are heavier gauge and the stamping is way better
-
Yes ,laminated 3/16 plate inside ,only needed it in the latch area as the hinges and prop rod use1/4 inch fender clips
SWPruett and Grabber70Mach reacted to this -
If the clip is in correct it locks into the molding ,the spring is a preload to keep the clip in place while tightening ,i sometimes bend the spring to keep it a bit tighter if the clip feels to loose in the molding ,now when tightening the clip is turning into the channel at top and bottom and shouldnt be able to come out

If using one of the cheaper braces ,it may be the problem .
As i said before measure between the towers to see if they are the correct distance apart ,i cant remember off hand what the measurement is but i can get it
-
I will have to see if i can dig it out

Its fairly tight between the can and the bucket ,that is why i used a thin phillip screw driver to make this one
