new housings are cheap and available at your local parts house, I would use a new gasket and very little RTV. you dont want that stuff getting into the cooling system.

What shape is your suspension in, how old, how many miles are on it? What shape is your bushings and wheel bearings in?

My last 70 coupe had a Colum lock, not a dash ignition switch like my current 69 does. So back it on the dolly and lock the front tires straight ahead, also as stated above a bungee strap as a backup is a wise idea.

Did the C-6 auto trans come in the 69 Mach 1 with the 351 Windsor only? I always thought the FMX was the only auto used in the Machs with the 351 W 2v. I know there were manuals and I do know the C-6 did come with other motor options. Just trying to educate myself. Thanks all.

Look at the seal its self, notice the taper? The taper is for the balancer so it's doesn't destroy the seal. If the seal is inverted the spring inside the seal will pop out when you install the balancer

On fords the seal is installed from the front. flip the cover over and install.

What year is the Mustang, I cannot tell from your photo? prob would help if I could find my glasses.... if its a 70 send me a PM, i have a set of 4 grab a track inner and outter tie rods just sitting in my shop. they are new and sealed in their original packing.

Hello all, I am just courious how many people on this site have the 1969-70 Mach 1? I also wounder how many are left as of today of the production run from 69 and 70?

Also, underdrive pulleys can cause overheating issues. almost everybody I know that switched to under drive pulleys on newer or older cars have developed overheating issues due to changing the water pump spin rate, once switched back to stock work fine. So just be careful when switching.

Bringing back an old thread, does anyone know the correct length of the wire for the fastback/Mach 1

does anybody have an extra wire or one out they can measure for me, my Mach 1 did not have a headliner in it when I got it, it had the bows in the trunk but no rear wire that holds the bow tight. I am going ti make both of them but I dont want to make a guess on the length. Thanks all

Hello all, its been a while. Does anyone know of a place where I can get the uphostery set for the rear non folding seat only. Everywhere I have check they only sell the complete set or just the front seat, or does anyone have a black rear seat uphostery they didn't use? Thanks all.
