  1. I am restoring my Mustang and converting the entire interior to a Mach 1. I need to recover the seats, besides being in bad shape I want to give them the black with red stripe. How hard would it be to put the new covers on the old shell? I have never recoved seats before, is this something a hard working semi smart guy can do? First silly question, how can I make sure the seats I have will fit the Mach 1 black with red stripe covers fit them? Kelly Sorry Guys if these seem like really simple unintelligent questions

  3. That link was a big help. I think the hangers on the front bow will help. Do I leave them in or take them out just before I glue the front in place? My front two bows won't stay up by themselves will this be a problem? Thanks for the help you have already given. my will be a little easier as both from and rear glass is out.

  7. Hello All, I tried posting this the other day but could not tell if it posted or not. I guess I need a tutorial on posting a question. My challenges is my 69, I just bought one that the entire interior was removed. I took care of any rust in the floor and anywhere else, but now I have to build her. I am starting with the headliner (and yes I had to purchase EVERYTHING for the interior) I purchased the bows for the headliner they were numbered (no color coding) well my challenge is the back two fit great, but the front two are very loose, when I lock the back one in the front one missing touching the roof pad by 1/2-5/8 and number two missing by almost as much? Was I builked? or is that just the way it is sometimes? Does anyone know of a way to fix it or do I need to buy another set of bows? or Can I just buy the front two? I am sure as this restoration goes on I will be asking more questions about converting the interior of this 69 to a Mach 1 interior. Thanks for any help.

  9. I bought another 69 and have begun the restoration process. I have a totally gutted interior so I have a clean slate to start with. There was only on place on the floor pan I need to replace and now I am starting my interior rebuild. There was no headliner, so this means no bows. I bought a kit to replace the headliner, it came with everything BUT the bows. I bought a set on Ebay, and started the installation..... WELLLLL all of the bows fit except the front number one and two. they are lose and will not stay up by themsleves. The bows I bought were not color coded, is there any way to tell if I have the correct set? Also is the any way to fix the front two so they will stay tight? All 69 fastbacks only use four bows, right? but they need specific bows, if they aren't color coded is there a way to tell he numbered them correctly? any help is appriciated, I am sure I will have plenty more questions when I start getting into the folddown seat installation, and now i have to recover the seats.........
