  1. I got mine from Virginia Classic and am quite pleased.
  2. If you are going to powder coat, I would recommend the bezels available for the Boss 302 which come in bare metal (no chrome). Most of the larger resto parts outlets have them and they fit rather well in my experience.
  3. LOTS of Boss 302's and 429's came with Deluxe interior groups and the distinctive woodgrain panels. Nothing unusual at all.
  4. Looks fantastic! I'd certainly call Rick Love at Vintage Air and give him an earful about those install instructions! For the kind of coin they command in the marketplace, they should have flawless install info! If nothing else, call them and let them know so they can make improvements. Looking forward to the next update(s)!
  5. April 70 Dearborn Boss 302, both were metal.
  6. Thank you all! I am thrilled that this stuff finds good application on other's projects! Very happy it helped!
  7. This might help. The finished product looks and works as good as new. http://1970boss302.blogspot.com/2012/02/steering-column-work-powder-coating.html Regards,
  8. Can't beat the experience and quality of the Street or Track 3-link or the Detroit Speed Quadra-Link.
  9. Quite the opposite in my case. But we've been thru this before.......
  10. Welcome! It sure looks like you have a lot to work with in that 'ol girl! There are lots of folks on this board who would have killed to start with a tub that solid (I'm one of 'em!). Keep the pics coming and share your progress! We like pictures!
  11. I have driven them both. There is no comparison. The Bilstein dampers are light years ahead in quality and performance to any Varishock ever made. Completely different ballgame.
  12. Bob, I have been throwing all of the shop stuff together on the build blog and update live on Instagram. I haven't posted anything on Garagejournal.com. Honestly, the progress has been painfully slow. Concrete contractors havce been killing progress dead, and until I get their work completed, I am dead in the water on construction (which we are doing ourselves). Stay tuned, I will be sure to update on everything we do! Thanks!
  13. When progress on the new shop ain't happening, we go back into the shop to work on the Boss! Brake plumbing is done along with a few other details and a few tips to share along the way! http://1970boss302.blogspot.com/2015/09/hard-lines-pedals-bulkhead-terminals.html
  14. Perfect call! That's it! Now it all makes sense and explains why I had it separated from the other parts! Into the "shaker parts box" it goes! THANKS FOLKS!
  15. Folks, I gotta ask, with hat in hand, what the heck this is! I am digging through tons of spare parts I have and ran across this bracket and can't for the life of me remember what it is! Over thirty years with Mustangs and I am absolutely blank! Help!
  16. Big endorsement for Street or Track equipment. You will not be disappointed!
  17. The Dynacorn lid under structure stampings have all been very nice in my experience. Very smooth in fact.
  18. I have had the same experience that Dave had (det0326). Rather underwhelmed with fit and required a lot of work on gaps. A pristine original would be ideal but......
  19. Good looking car! What steering wheel is that and is that an Ididit column?
  20. Very, very nice! That color has definitely become one of my favorites in recent years. Great car!
  21. Oh man! That's much worse that I thought! Last Martz setup I saw in person was about a year ago and it was far less than impressive. Sounds like it has gotten worse!
  22. I'd enjoy seeing more detail on your radiator & fan combo! The car is looking great and it's fun to watch it coming together!
  23. First impressions of the Martz pieces I have seen were that they appeared rather crude. They might work like gang busters, but the fit and finish that I have seen would never make it on any of my projects. Perhaps the later stuff has improved?
