  1. They are available in 15 inchers too, and when the wheels are on then the pics will follow for sure.:thumbup1:
  2. Thanks guys. Real good info Pac. I like lookin someone in the eye when I'm dropping cash like this. There is a discount tire up the road, I'll try that with them. I remember buying from town fair tire in Connecticut about 25 years ago. Good to see they are still in business. So PAC would you change or stay with 4.5 BS? What tire sizes? Brian
  3. Ok so I've been going back and forth between 15x7/8 magnum 500's and 17x8/9.5 AR500's. Well I've landed on the AR500 setup to stay. I'm planning on buying them tomorrow from Newstalgia wheel. I'm planning on 4.75 backspacing in the front and 5.75 backspacing in the rear. Any comments or other places better to buy from?:thumbup1:
  4. That's one a them hot rods that runs on hot air. :smartass:
  5. It's my long project. The dream is black with red mach 1 accents and bad to the bone.
  6. I think coupes are too plentiful to mess with one that has several serious issues. Id be saving a few more bucks and getting a real clean coupe or keep looking for a fastback if I had to do that much work. In answer to your question no more than 500.
  7. It embodies all that i am perfectly. Nice.
  8. I see your point... Your hair covers it nicely! Ohhh crap I love that one... feel free to use it. I'm just jackin with ya Pac ,I was very surprised how quickly I had responses from the Craigslist ad. I thought it would take a few weeks of lowering the price but this guy had to have it. He didn't even drive it! I'm thinking he paid top dollar too. I will be watching his website to see how long he holds on to it.
  9. That would be an assumption would you agree?
  10. Man this really upsets a few of you! Ive always wanted to cut one right down the middle and add 8-10 inches of width in the rear and taper it to stock in the front. I'm just hung up on the windshield and back glass, I'm sure someone out there can make one off windshields but you know that's a fortune. So go ahead and call me disgusting. Hmmm, I do have an extra body just sittin here...
  11. I asked the guy why he wasnt trying elsewhere to sell it and he just shrugged his shoulders. i know ... i hate to make money on someone elses suffering.
  12. SOLD! SOLD! SOLD! Probably the best deal ive ever done. I took the fold down setup and left the rest of the parts i wanted on the car. plus made 5500. on top. God is good! Sorry to those who pm'd me about the car but I forgot and just posted it on craigslist saturday afternoon. A dealer bought it so you can buy it from him if you are willing to pay more. He should have it on his website an a couple days vor viewing. www.accelautogroup.com Thanks guys for your input.
  13. How much can you spend? We want to know!!!
  14. Yeah Mike, I'd give a thumbs up on swclassics in south arlington, I bought some parts from them for a 65 SS impala and all was good. If you buy a hood that has to be shipped to you and for whatever reason if you have to return it at your expense it ain't cheap. No I havent tried to fit it yet but I gave it then once over and it looked real clean.
  15. And what would be the right price for you to buy it?? Just curious. Brian
  16. Love it. When I eventually break my fiberglass one I want to build one like yours.
  17. Hey mike , I've got one that I bought from a company out of Oklahoma that I have yet to put to use. Maybe I could take some specific photos of it for you to try to give you a better understanding what you get for the 300-350$. There has been a company advertising on DFW craigslist that has them pretty cheap if my memory serves me at all. Brian
  18. That is gonna be a blast man. Is it gonna be street legal?
  19. Yeah right! It was this way when I bought it. I can't understand how you would go for a basically factory look and NOT check into the actual measurements! The previous owner hired the job out to a painter while living in california and then moved to Texas a few days after he picked it up. He implied that he had wanted to take it back for a few touch ups but it wasn't worth the drive. I've thought about doing those touch ups a few times but I'm gonna try not to put any $ into this car, just enjoy it as is until I get the one I want to finish the way I want. Then sell the yellow one.
  20. Yes there is a simple fix to recline your seats. Lean the seat forward and look down at the back of the seat base. On the right and left of the seat are the bump stops, for lack of a better term, and there is only one screw each. Take them off, and shave them down on a grinding wheel, I pressed them against the sides of the wheel. Be careful, I slipped and took off a big chunk of my finger tip! Anyways, just test fit them after you take off some of the material until you get the angle you want. Easy peasy! You could also use any kind of sander I suppose.
