  1. No they will not, I forgot yours is a 70 & this wass done on your 68.
  2. Vic, I am planning on using LED's for the tail lights, back up lights, & the parking lights.
  3. Terry, it might take a while before it is running since I am still doing the wiring, then I have to run fuel lines & decide EFI or carb.
  4. Terry I am going to use a dual exhaust system with dual mufflers in front of the rear axle that I bought from Virginia Mustang that has turbo mufflers & has the mounting brackets welded in the proper place for stock hangers. Here is the link to the system I have. It says on the muffler Xcelerator turbo muffler & the body of the muffler is 14" long. 67-69 2 1/2" TURBO DUAL EXHAUST SYSTEM WORKS WITH ORIGINAL STYLE 67-69 HANGER KIT TRIM TAIL PIPES OR USE OUR TURNDOWNS (virginiaclassicmustang.com)
  5. What was the problem my post helped you with? The zip ties are temp until I am done. They are there to hold the harness in place.
  6. I have been working on the wiring in the trunk the last few weeks. I am doing a little at a time, like baby steps to get it done. Thanks to everyone who posted pics or responded to my post looking for info how to run the taillight harness so I can keep plugging along with the wiring. Today I ran the ground wires for the taillights & side lights to the ground screw on the trunk support.
  7. Thanks to those who posted pics of the trunk harness routing. Today I routed the trunk wire harness & ran the ground wires for the tail lights, & side lights to the ground screw on the trunk latch support. Little at a time.
  8. I am in the same situation, do I want to go EFI or a carb. My wife wants me to go EFI but I keep thinking a carb would easier.
  9. Nice work & thanks for sharing the info since this is the carb I might use.
  10. Nice fix on the adjuster. Vic do you happen to have a link to where you bought the LED headlights?
  11. Terry thanks for the link but it says I do not have permission to view it, Brian, thanks for the pic, & Jay thanks for the pics that is just what I needed. You guys are the best. I will post some pics once I get the harness completed.
  12. IIRC on my Coupe it only has one hole there for the sending unit wire.
  13. Vic looking good. I love the color on your 68 Mustang, it looks like the color that was on my 68 Mustang GT I had back in the 80's. It was a Pontiac color from a 1977 Trans Am.
  14. Thanks Roger, I was more looking for pictures I looked in my Osbourne manuals & it has a drawing of where it runs but I was looking for more detail then the book has.
  15. As the title says I am looking for some pics on the routing of the trunk wiring. I am finishing up the wiring in the trunk I want to route the harness so I could take measurements then make the connections to the lights & be sure when I put it in place it will still reach the lights. I looked in the Osborne wiring book & it shows a rough drawing that doesn't help much. I would be grateful for any pics you all can supply me. Thanks in advance.
  16. Did a little more work on the wiring in the trunk.
  17. Bob I am the same no more big crowds & traffic. As I get older I hate it more & more. I have been to Carlisle, Pa events a couple times, no more.
  18. Congrats on it nearing getting painted. Who is doing it for you?
  19. Cleaned out the trunk from when we moved the Mustang to Virginia & started to work on the wiring in the trunk. @JayEstes your Coupe looks great.
  20. Awesome work. When you are dome 99% of the metal will be new.
  21. In between some house projects I am back working on the Mustang. I got the wiring for the oil pressure & the temp senders hooked to the AAW harness.
  22. GREAT info everyone, thanks for posing it since I want to hook up the backup lights & a NSS on my T-5.
  23. Hooked the wiring from the water temp, & oil pressure senders into the wires in the harness.
  24. I dumped the P/S setup & went to a manual setup with a Choko rebuilt box & a roller idler arm from Opentracker Racing & it steers like it has power steering. Roller Idler Arm, Manual Steering (1967-1970) Mustang Cougar - Opentracker Racing
  25. Try unbolting the master cylinder & pull it forward a little & make the back seal in the master cylinder is not leaking fluid into the brake booster. I have had this happen to me & it drove me nuts until I found it.
