Hello, new to joining the forum. Have followed a lot of the other builds here, which are awesome, and wanted to share where we are in ours. My dad and I acquired the car in late 2014. It came with an extremely mild 351C and a C6 tranny. He tinkered on it here and there and added a few parts but always wanted a little more.. who doesn't.. So after I brought home a 2016 mustang GT he was hooked on the coyote 5.0 We had originally planned strictly a front end conversion and engine/tranny swap but this has turned into a full blown build. Many of the parts came from Mustangs to Fear, and they have been really really nice to work with. All of the work is being completed by GT Graphics and Customs out of Franklin, NC. Both Gary and Teresa over at GT Graphics and Customs are first class individuals. We couldn't be more pleased with them.
I won't bore you with a parts list so here's some pictures of where we are at!

Separated the engine and trans today.
Cleaned and painted the engine ford dark blue and left the PI manifold alloy.
cleaned the C6 and then refitted it to engine , at least no surprises .
Got a modified shaker base we use on hi rise manifolds on our falcons to mount the shaker correctly so the shaker will be ok.

Rough Fiberglass out of the mold
We will put a nice polished mesh set back about an inch into the opening. The hood will be fully functional.

Thanks I have been building hot rods or stock rods since the 60ties. Too much modifications and I get lost. I try to keep it simple. 50% of the welding is done by me and the other 50% done by a friend. I live on SSI so I probably will not have any high dollar stuff. I guess I am a true hot rodder use what is cheap and easy.

I have not accomplished much on this poor thing in way over a month. I have been contemplating how to go about running this exhaust and fabricating the transitions from the headers to the X pipe. I have also been hung up on running the under seat riser convertible reinforcements. I cut out a few contour templates of the tunnel area and floor pan, but that's about as far as I got. The exhaust is going to take up a ton of room in that particular area. I'll do the exhaust first and build the reinforcements after, maybe...
I did order some flex couplers, hanger grommets, and some gasket material as I needed all these items to get these parts under the car. They do not make oval flex couplers with a liner, in 4" long versions. So I purchased 3" round and will form them to oval (I've all ready modified one, it's nice)
I have also jumped off the deep end and ordered a present from me to me, should be completed around the first of the year. I'm going to keep everyone in a little suspense, but it connects to this...

Guys at the paintshop says it's paint tomorrow. Final blocking today.
Here's Mathias doing his black magic....
And the result is an arrow straight quarter. Keep in mind, there's almost no bondo or filler under it. Just metalwork mastery from these guys.
I just had to repost this image from a year ago of the same fender, virtually no filler.

Well some of the parts I ordered on Black Friday are starting to come in. Parts that were on back order should be here soon. I went with the Tanks inc 22 gallon fuel injection tank. Looks great inside and out. Also got the walbro 400lph pump. I'm hoping it'll be enough. Here are some pictures of the internal baffles.
