  1. The ford F150 have two vents of this type in the back of the cabs ,mine is a 2000 F150 .They may be possible to use somewhere in the trunk area . They also have a rubber flapper in them but i think it is to keep water out and not to stop air from coming or out of the cab .
  2. I don't remember exactly how the vent worked but i do remember my 69 doors would not close easily with all the windows closed ,and the 70 i had never had a problem . The rubber flapper may have been more to deflect water coming in from the out side than stop air transfer one way or the other
  3. It is a plastic louverd vent in the b pillar with a rubber flapper in it if i remember corectly ,been a while since i worked on a 70 .It should be easy to fit to a 69 if you had the placement from a 70 to go by .
  4. I noticed the shipping increases as well ,were getting screwed .
  5. There is really only a couple of measurements you will need .The radiator support can only set in one place so if the front frame rails are not bent that is easy . The two front inner fender aprons line up perfectly with the front holes in the aprons and the radiator support so the measurements you really need are the length from the cowl to the front of the radiator support .
  6. And the coolest dad award goes to !! That is great ...When are we going to start on my car dad HAHAHA
  7. The Dynacorn radiator support is a bit heavier gauge .It is just as easy to replace the one with the cross brace as it is to do one with out ,may even be easier .It pretty much sets it self ,it simply goes between the rails .Take several measurements before you remove the old parts and it will be simple .
  8. there is nothing stronger than a properly set up 9 inch .
  9. Just reverse the install ,only push up on the long edge of the nut and it will come right out
  10. The bed liner may make it a bit hard to get in ,but it may also make it stay in better .
  11. Slip the nut into the rocker long side in .be careful not to let it fall all the way in .and push it all the way to the ears insert a philip screw driver into the threaded hole and pull the nut and clip back until it locks in place and you are ready to go .If the opening in the rocker is bent up you will need to straighten it up or the clip may not go in or it will not stay in .
  12. I hate it when those nuts have been welded in ,they usually break out and then it is a pain in the but to fit a new nut in . I have a short piece of a rocker and one of the nuts ,if i can get the pics to load i will post how ..having trouble loading pics
  13. the ears do not go in the hole ,slide the nut into the hole from the long side ..one side is longer on the nut .The ears will be on the out side .Slide the nut back once it is in the hole .The ears act like a spring and hold the nut in place .If the hole is bent up the nut will not lock in place correctly and you may need to bend the opening to make the nut lock in .
  14. I ran my old Mach 1 with the flapper open for 8 years with out any problems .
  15. Have not had the chance ,soon I hope because my 69 needs them .
  16. No catalog just a mess of molds .I have the fiberglass interior for 65 -70 fast backs ,all the fiberglass for 69-70 Shelby convert and fast back .65 -66 Shelby type hood .spoilerd trunk lid and end caps for 65 -66 coupe convert and fast back .All the 67 Shelby fiber glass coupe and convert and fast back .67-68 cowl hood ,66 hood with 67 Shelby hood scoop .64 Galaxie tear drop hood .64 thunder bolt hood and trunk lid .64-65 Falcon AFX tear drop hood .67 Cougar GTE hood scoop .And a bunch of odds and ends but all Ford .
  17. I would have to make a set of kick panels and then make a mold from that . The side scoops have a different bolt pattern than the factory type because they cover the whole dimple in the body panel .
  18. Home Depot has a nice screen ,i think it is bird screen for keeping birds out .I found it in the with the attic vents .
  19. The snorkel opening can be closed with a screen like the 67 -68 non smog GT 390s were .
  20. I used motor cycle engine case paint ,i think it is called VH1? I glass beaded the last one first and the VH1 looked just like the factory finish when it was done .This is very tough paint and works very well for pot metal .you can get it at any motorcycle shop .I do all my Ford valve covers with it ,and it comes in several colors .
  21. I have never hugged a tree ,I have cut down a few though . you dont have to worry about shooting the stupid people either ,they are doing a great job of doing it them self's . There is an out of state visitors fee though that must be paid before leaving the state
  22. I may just do that ,i need a set of 31 spline for a 69 housing .
  23. It is usually dumb luck for me rather than a plan .
