  1. visually they are are the same angle just moved laterally. They were modified for a 68 and I'm pretty sure we have the same dimensions. Now I need to figure out the best way to remove the surface rust and store it for a few months. Also looking at the best way to paint the exterior short of powdercoat.
  2. Ok this one is the right size. I made a typo. It is 54.25” Thanks. Just nervous about buying parts that won’t fit.
  3. I have a chance to pick up a 9" tapered housing that was modified to fit a 69 convertible that was going from a 4 lug to 5 lug conversion. I've seen the width of wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface should be 60.25" I don't have that measurement since it is an empty housing. What I do know is 59.25" from housing flange to flange and 43.5" spring perch center to center. Before I buy it is this the correct housing for my 69 mustang? I'd measure my car but it is an hour away at the paint shop.
  4. Some of these might be forum posters ;)
  5. Not familiar with your relay setup. They relay harness I used had connectors to the factory harness for the regular and high beams and two relays for the two circuits and then four plugs to go to the headlights. It took some planning to get it routed where they reached the far (driver's side) headlights.
  6. And how much of the carpet lite did your car take? I already have the sound deadening and the mass back carpet but want to add that extra layer.
  7. Yep, I want to get one of those front plates or one that just says 1969
  8. I know this is an old post but I learned the backseat of my car was useless when I was in high school. Great thread
  9. My car is missing them and I was describing them to the body shop employee. Should I add them back in and I guess they sell them at NPD.
  10. if you put a spacer at the top of the end cap bolts does it move the bottom in more? Does that create too big of a gap at the top?
  11. More progress pictures. You can follow me on instagram for mor pictures at https://instagram.com/red69mustang?igshid=NzZlODBkYWE4Ng== or @red69mustang
  12. I have JBA Shorty headers from my 302 but switching to a 351W and T5 with cable clutch. Any chance I can re-use the JBA headers with the taller block?
  13. I'm willing to commit money to keeping the site up during the whole month. How do we do that?
  14. How much do we need in subscriptions to increase the monthly bandwidth limit?
  15. Got a new to me roller block 351W. Looks pretty good. Tomorrow I go visit the paint and body shop.
  16. I already bought the transmission. The gears are: 3.35, 1.93, 1.26, 1, .068 I have 26" Diameter tires The engine will easily spin up to 6000 RPM in aggressive driving if I put in 5500 rpm shift points this is what it looks like with 3.8 gears For more moderate driving I did the math and these are my speeds at 3,000 RPMs in each gear The different between 3.55 and 3.8 is 1.3 MPH in first but in 5th cruising at 70 MPH is 2184 RPM with 3.55 and 2338 with 3.8 gears. Fifth is not usable at 3.55 until about 65 MPH (2000 RPM) but with 3.8 2000 RPM is 60mph. I think the 3.8 is the best balance of high and low. 3000 RPM Speeds 3.55 3.8 Difference 1st 19.52 18.24 -1.28 2nd 33.88 31.63 -2.25 3rd 51.9 48.48 -3.42 4th 65.39 61.09 -4.3 5th 96.17 89.94 -6.23
  17. What do you know about the headers?
  18. It has a 3.35 first and .63 overdrive gear which is why I’m going with the 3.80 rear. The transmission is already bought but not the new 3rd member. I was told the 2.95 first gears were in the v6 cars.
  19. @JayEstes Love the GT style stripe. Beautiful car.
  20. A couple questions to clear up my assumptions: Are all the fastback rear seat panels the same for fold down and non-fold down? I think so. Are they the same for 69/70? Are the coupe's and convertibles different?
