po51 21 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 I need to order some parts for the rear end of my 69 351w with FMX tranny 3.00 rear end. Everything is original. Is there a easy way to tell if I have a large or small bearing with out having to take the axle apart? 1 WilliamFug reacted to this
Shep69 149 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 I have the same setup as yours but can't remember what it had. It was a couple of years ago now and I got it wrong and had to send the bearings back . Just pull an axle and check . It will take less than 30min if you have the gear.

RPM 1,190 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 95% chance it's a small bearing. Google for images of them for the measurements.
1969_Mach1 333 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 If its the original 1969 9" rear axle, it should use the smaller axle bearings.
