lanky 44 Report post Posted February 19, 2016 When I take out my fmx to swap in a toploader I would be suprised if somebody would take it from me for free... I'm in central coast CA and they arent exactly in demand. So far mine still works pretty good too.

1969_Mach1 333 Report post Posted February 20, 2016 I'm sure somebody will want to use the FMX trans. I wouldn't scrap it. Those are rock solid tough transmissions. Just not popular in the performance crowds because of weight and lack of performance parts for them.
7TCatvert 24 Report post Posted February 20, 2016 I was just having a similar conversion with my transmission friend last night. 10 years ago people would just give him c4 and c6 transmissons. Now he has to pay decent money for c4 cores (100). I would keep it if you have the room. Someday maybe worth a coup lot bucks...
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 Still have it? Yes I do. But no longer for sale as I have it in my 69 until if and when I rollerize my C4/5.

Alan_Mac 48 Report post Posted February 21, 2016 I sold my FMX with TCI torque converter for 500, it had a performance rebuild with low mileage and was drop in for a 69/70 mustang.
JD08 42 Report post Posted February 25, 2016 Bring it to Florida. They seem to think they're worth a fortune here.
