  1. I used a tunnel mount style from a 91 Accord in my 65 mustang. A little reinforcement and the cables hooked up to the Ford backing plates. Works great but not with a factory console.
  2. Try West Coast Couger they have alot of great parts. 503-463-1130 http://www.CougarPartsCatalog.com
  3. Very cool, I have a S code, 4 speed car also. Lots of fun.
  4. I used to work in a shop and then went on to sell auto paint, we carried PPG,Dupont,BASF,and had House of Colors also. It is a personal prefence on these brands of paint. House of clolors was mostley a 3 stage paint(base coat, tinted clear coat ,then final clear)very hard to polish and very expensive. I likied PPG and Dupont both but found Dupont's system a little more user friendly and the cost about the same.
  5. I also have a stock 69 S code and run a new Holley 770 Street Avenger on it and it works fine (not to big). The Edelbrocks performers seem to have a richer Idle circit for a larger than stock cam so it might be a little fat @ an idle but I would run it their great carbs.
  6. It goes from your oil pump to the filter, thats why on an old motor with sludge you change the oil quickly. And for somebody with an old motor its worth a try to salvage it . There could be alot of life left in them I've seen it do good more than once. There was an logger friend of my dads that ran an old Ford f150 with a 360 motor and after it got 100k on the motor he would put 4 qts of oil and 1 qt of diesel in it and that truck went another 100k. I wouldn't do it but I've seen it done.
  7. It is a great cleaner, on an old sludged up motor it works great. I had a friend that bought an old truck that was all sludged up from lack of oil changes and shorts miles had it had a lot of lifter noise , and after a couple of series of oil and atf it quieted right down and ran many years. I wouldn't do it on anything but an old motor that had lack of service though.
  8. A 9" from a 72 and back F series is only 61" wide and a place like Dutchman doesn't charge all that much to redrill to the 5 on 4 1/2 wheel pattern and then you have big brakes. Ive bought 2 of these and the most I paid was $50.
  9. The specific gravity for AV gas is lighter than auto fuel so if you run it more the 50% you need to jet up for it or it will run lean. But any motor above about 10 to 1 will like it very much. If you have never run it before it will clean out varinish and deposits and on one motor, the float bowels on my Holley started leaking but once that was taken care of it ran great and about the same price as super unleaded. My Holley jets were 72's and I bumped them up to 75's and the plugs looked great running straight AV gas.
  10. Go to any good parts store and they can sell you a reducer just know which pipe you want to go over the inside or outside of, sold quite a few of them when I used to be in the auto paint and parts industry. A good tempary fix for you.
  11. These will also work on GT40P heads if grind off the casting flashing,
  12. I have a extra set of 351 4 barrel manifolds, I got them for my 65 to put on a 302 with GT40p heads witch they will work on but the 65 chassis is to narrow and they will touch the shock towers but will work in a 67 and up car. They look just like the Hi Pos but are a little bigger. Id go $100 for the set and their bigger than the ones on E Bay, they look like 2 barrel manifolds.
  13. No need for a center console, it come with its own and then you trim it to fit your floor if needed.
  14. I have a factory tach and have a tach adapter between it and tha msd box.
  15. Most of the time when you lose a coil its gone but if you have an extra you might try it, the first thing to try is unhook your tach. sometimes they will go bad and ground out your ignition. Just a few things to try.
