  1. That is awesome. Car looks and sounds great. Would be interesting to see how it would do again with the new brake setup. I am sure it is a huge difference with the upgraded parts.
  2. Very Cool. I always loved those cars. Honestly way before their time. You have any more info on either of them, would like to see more of them.... Keep us updated
  3. Just wanted to share some pics since I have been lurking for a while. First kudos on a great site with great info. From this site I was able to upgrade to 70 Bolt in side windows, which to me was the best upgrade on the car so far. As for the car, it is a 69 S code MACH 1. My dad bought it in 1991, where it was driven on a off for a few years, until 1998, when the motor blew up and then it sat for years. Well 2 years ago, I went and got the car and started getting it ready for the road. I rebuilt the motor and had the tranny rebuilt, added a small cam, alum intake and long tubes. Here is what it looked like when I picked it up Drove it for a bit and then this year I rebuilt all of the suspension. Used the Laurel Mountain Suspension kit, front and rear and 620 1" lowering springs, shelby drop, and mid eye rears with 2 in lowering blocks in the rear. Running Bullitt style wheels from a late model 17X8 with 245/45/18's up front, 18X10 with 305/3/18's out back. Have to still rebuild the rear, and some work on the inside, and some body and paint work left. Here is how it sits now Again, great site and will be keeping an eye out for more great info

  5. You would need to get a set of windows brackets. You could source them used or buy them new from NPD. Kinda pricey, but nice pieces.

  7. I had glue in on mine and switched to the 70 style Bolt in windows, from advice from this site, and honestly, one of the best mods I ever did on my car.

  9. Man, sorry about your bad experience. True good shops seem to be getting hard to find any more. Like most this may help with you wanting to do some of the work yourself. Should help with some of the less complicated jobs. Glad to see it is running and hope the inspection goes well.

  11. Looks good. Can't wait to see it with the new wheels and tires.

  13. you will probably need the 1" spacer for up front. I am running 17X8 and 18X10 bullitts on mine and they fit well. I am running the deep dish out back so I think the offset is a little different. But I do like the way they look. Good luck
  14. that is looking great. Will be a nice ride when completed.
  15. I was glad mine was done when I got my car.... Not something I would have enjoyed doing. Looks great!!!
