  1. Are you sure the toggle switch is for on/off. MSD has a security feature that people hook a toggle switch in a hidden place that disables the box so the car cannot be hot wired.
  2. Other Cars, all dailies, just depends on the weather, 2006 BMW 330xi, 2002 Suburban, 2002 Turbo S VW Bug, daughter and son share 2003 KIA at college (they love it), 69 Coupe
  3. Take the #1 spark plug out. While you turn the engine over with a socket and breaker bar, or have someone else turn the engine over, put your thimb over the spark plug hole, when you feel the pressure increase then decrease stop and back it up to match the timing mark on your balancer. You should be able to tell if you are off 180 because the piston will not build the same pressure if the valves are open. Hope it helps, Dan Do it a couple of times and you will know the feeling.
  4. I have a built 302, C4, 8", 295 40 17's and 355's. Rpm's way to high for highway cruising. Great for track, but don't need it for street driving. Before I spent the money on new gears, I would try what you have and then depending on how you want to accelerate, go from there. With the 8" you probably don't have a positive track/locker, correct? Mine without a locker and 355's you can barley give it any gas on take off without breaking the right tire loose. I am adding some sort of posi so I don't look like a teenager when I want to get up and go. dan
  5. This is the one I purchased. Looks pretty nice and fit well. http://mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy01.asp?T1=F2056+01&Category=&catkey=emustang

  7. Out here in Oregon, you are not allowed to pump your own gas. That being said, I go to the same station and they let me pump my own. I grab a couple of paper towels from the gas station dispenser, poke a whole in them and place it over the nozzle and keep it pressed tightly against the car. It seems to keep any splash off the car.

  9. I replaced my front wiring harness with one from Mustangs Unlimited and I had to use my old firewall connector. You don't splice it. The wires slide out the back and you slide the new ones in. Be sure you have a diagram or take pictures to get them all back in the correct place. Wasn't very difficult.
  10. And given they are red, they would be in the rear vs yellow/white in the front

  12. If it is turning over and not sounding like it is trying to start, back fires, misses, then it is likely the coil wire to the ignition or coil to distributor. If it is trying to start, check your coil to distributor and go over all the plug wires again. Since it ran fine before, it should be an easy fix. dan

  14. When the oil dip stick broke off, did it shear at the timing chain cover. If it did, did you get all the broken off piece out? It goes in about an inch or so. I had to remove the oil pan and tap the peice out from the bottom side. If you already have all the piece out, I carefully took a punch and tapped the new one in using the compressed ridge that seats the tube into the hole.
