  1. Well, it looks like the US Senate has recognized us :). US Senate Resolution 513, 4 May 2010 Designating July 9, 2010, as `Collector Car Appreciation Day' and recognizing that the collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States. Whereas many people in the United States maintain classic automobiles as a pastime and do so with great passion and as a means of individual expression; Whereas the Senate recognizes the effect that the more than 100-year history of the automobile has had on the economic progress of the Nation and supports wholeheartedly all activities involved in the restoration and exhibition of classic automobiles; Whereas collection, restoration, and preservation of automobiles is an activity shared across generations and across all segments of society; Whereas thousands of local car clubs and related businesses have been instrumental in preserving a historic part of the heritage of this Nation by encouraging the restoration and exhibition of such vintage works of art; Whereas automotive restoration provides well-paying, high-skilled jobs for people in all 50 States; and Whereas automobiles have provided the inspiration for music, photography, cinema, fashion, and other artistic pursuits that have become part of the popular culture of the United States: Now therefore, be it Resolved, That the Senate-- (1) designates July 9, 2010, as `Collector Car Appreciation Day'; (2) recognizes that the collection and restoration of historic and classic cars is an important part of preserving the technological achievements and cultural heritage of the United States; (3) encourages the Department of Education, the Department of Transportation, and other Federal agencies to support events and commemorations of `Collector Car Appreciation Day', including exhibitions and educational and cultural activities for young people; and (4) encourages the people of the United States to engage in events and commemorations of `Collector Car Appreciation Day' that create opportunities for collector car owners to educate young people on the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of the United States, including through the collection and restoration of collector cars.

  4. It all depends, molded carpets will fit any car, now although they say they are molded, most likely there's some trimming needed, particularly around the door sills and around the kick panels, and even tho they're molded, there's some massaging to do. I installed a Mach 1 carpet in my GT and love the contrast of a red insert on a standard black interior, but then I did some other work on the seats too, so it all depends on what look you're shooting for. I used NPD for the carpet, worked for me and was very happy with the quality/material, many choices, pick the best value/quality for your needs.

  6. The almost mandatory Mustang and P-51 photo. This was taken yesterday at the Commemorative Air Force Arizona Wing car show. At some point I should get the "professional photos" sent to me, this one was from my camera.
  7. Hey gang, been gone a while, frankly too many projects in the backyard, the GT still looks good, and thankfully, no mechanical issues with it, other than the GT stripe and interior work I haven't touched in a while, LOL, I pretty much charge up the battery every couple of months and that's it, today was the first time I drove it in months, and it drove beautifully, really need to do that more often :). Anyway, couple of pics. Sorry, big pics, new camera.
  8. Nothing Ford Racing can't fix :). Worth every penny!
  9. I know the deal, spent 6 months straight on my SC 5.0, they sure are fun, specially with the 3.73s I added a month ago :).
  10. I'm afraid that's the best picture I got of that car. The car was built by the Mustang Shop of Phoenix, AZ, and they don't have a picture of it in their gallery either, sorry. Edit: I found a better picture of it at the Copperstate show album. You can view the entire album here: http://www.highperformancestangs.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/517
