Correct, Filling his inbox with "You Suck" emails probably isn't the way I want to go. I do think that others do need to know about there buisness practice though. Posting on other boards about what went/is going down, I think is perfectly acceptible.

I also asked "what about these fabricated housings? What am supposed to do with these?" He said that was in the labor and he wasn't going to refund them." <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> "OK" I said. "Well I guess we will have to handle this another way". I gathered my $600 sidemarkers and told them to have a nice weekend.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> It was obvious that the owner had made up his mind on what he wanted and he was not interested in doing the right thing.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> I have tried to give these guys every opportunity to do the right thing. I was even willing to take a hit on the ridiculous markups and stretched out labor costs if he would at least consede the Side marker aspect. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> The fabricated housings take the cake. So instead of him buying housings from any major catalog for $20 he has his guys fabricate them at $75/hr and I can't even return them. Definately water in the oil. Checked the oil and looked like someone was making a cappacino in there. Wife is gonna be pissed. Now I'm on the other side of town and my options were to take it tow back to my side of town or take it to a shop my family knows on this side to get it diagnosed. I opted for the later with strict guidlines on what to do. Please oh please do not be a cracked block. I would have taken to these guys in the first place had they not been on the opposite side of town from my house, but sense I'm here...... Wow this hobby is expensive.

I drove it to work today. Nervous the entire time but it seemed strong the entire way. When I get it parked I checked for leaks nothing showing. Popped the hood and saw radiator fluid had been coming out of the overflow valve. Waited for it to cool off and open the radiator cap and sure enough it looked dry as a bone. So now I'm wondering if my thermostat is working properly. Plus I need to get it back across town this afternoon. The temp gauge on the cluster doesn’t work so I can't tell how its running while I'm driving it. I wonder if I top it off if I'd be alright getting back home. Of if I should find a place to drain it put in a new thermostat and refill it.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>

The conversation was a little more tense then it may have read. I have a tendency to be sarcastic and he was visibly upset throught out the conversation despite the word choices. I neglected to mention that at some point during the conversation he told me. ---------------------------------------------------------- "Every once in a while we get someone like you, who isn't grateful for what we did for them and we end up getting vandalized" I have no intention of vandalizing you shop, but if need be I will take other actions like notifing the BBB and making sure every mustang owner I ever come across is aware of what has happend to me. ---------------------------------------------------------------- We talked for about 20 mins so I'm sure there are other things that were said that I didn't write. Well there is also a charge in the "parts" section for "2 Frt Wheel Dust Caps". I dont see new dust caps. It's not a large amount of money but it does show a pattern.

I am taking actions to get this corrected. I am trieing to give them every opportunity to make this right. When I bring back the parts and they don't elect to do the right thing, I have let him know I will be taking further actions.

Texas doesn't have an explicit law like that. From what I can gather, but I do have the option to take them to small claims court and put them in front of a jury. I removed some of the parts and I plan on brining them up to the shop on Friday. One more thing maybe you guys can help me figure this out. There is a charge that reads "Install Front axle Dust Caps". I have looked all over the axles for some new dust caps but cant find any. I've looked on the upper and lower arms and any other logical place, but I dont see any new dust caps. Where else would these "Dust Caps" be? I want to be able to question them on that when I return the other parts, but I want to make sure I've got my ducks in a row.
