  1. Ok, that about sums it up! Leather = 1 (me), Leatherette = 0. TSFS guys. My humor is "dry" sometimes, and my wife says I'm so impatient.....lol. Leather wins! I ordered leather today! They are the "classic - no options" style. Exactly like this pic off of Mr. Mike's website:
  2. Leather vs Leather-ette seats - opinions?? I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of Mr Mikes seat covers. He now offers "leather-ette" for $400 vs leather for $700. Big price difference. The sides of the leather seats are still leatherette. My car will have no a/c. I even considered cloth but I just cant get into that look. Can you guys throw out your opinions on if its worth $700 for leather? Pricy, but I hear good reviews.
  3. Welcome and enjoy your rebuild! Lots of people here will help you where you need it!
  4. I have a set of LH and RH long ones - sounds like that doesn't help u tho.
  5. Hi RC, were u able to get any pics? Also, what price are you looking for with shipping to 45013? Thank you very much!
  6. That's cool. If you could also let me know a verbal description of them. They are so big its had to tell if there are dings or bends by pics. And your sure they are fastback? They are different than coupe ones. You can post here or pm me either way! Thanks so much! Much appreciated!
  7. That's a really cool story! Enjoy your time over here and your car in America! It would be really cool to be driving that stang around France!!
  8. Looking for a set of 1969 FASTBACK weather strip channels. These are the long channels that start at the door hinges and go up around the top to the quarter window. Also need the small window bumpers and screws if possible. Looking for 1969. Apparently 1970 had the window guides riveted to them but the 1969's screwed on separately. Looking for 1969 Thank you!
  9. That will look sweet! I really like the look of the t/a cars! The oval exhaust coming out right in front of the rear tires looks so sweet! I rear it can be louder than expected tho. Sell those extra parts on fleabay and the forums! That's what I did. It helped me raise a lot of cash for my project - a lot more than I realized! Cool car - have fun with the build!!
  10. Got the bows today. They look awesome! Your a top notch guy! Thanks again!
  11. I use an aftermarket housing with an o-ring. After installing the o-ring in the groove, I smear a light coating of right stuff on the housing. As for the vertical mount, I loop a string around the t-stat bridge and my finger, holding the string snug till bolts installed. Then I cut the string and pull it off the t-stat.
  12. I agree with the others. Make it like you want it. Its your car! I'm not a firm believer in the "must be all original" camp. Most importantly - Welcome!
  13. I wonder if one of those "HOLD-IT" bars would work that you use for the back of pickup truck beds to keep stuff from sliding around? It is adjustable like a helm joint, and it has rubber padded swivel feet on both ends.
  14. That may be a real good chioce. It would be a whole lot easier to change the rear end gears out than than to regret the overdrive choice. You could dial it on with the rear gears? Would make 1st thru 4th a lot more fun too :thumbup1:
  15. I run the .64 and a 3:50 gear and love it. She just purrs down the highways!
  16. I'm running 18/17 with the 428. No issues at all with the ride, but the rear does rub on larger bumps.
  17. Looking for weather strip retainers - PM sent
  18. I'd be more inclined to go with the style of car you like the best instead of which motor is cooler. I mean anybody can put a FE in any car, and sure that may raise the cool factor somewhat. But forget the engine and keep the "car" that finds a place in your heart. I have an FE in mine, but a nice small block stroker in the stang would be way cool, and much more user friendly!
  19. 427 GTE's have been known to bring 100k+ Don't wake away! If you do, give me her number.....lol.
  20. I've not update the thread so I wanted to update my progress over the last 2 months, so here goes. Its been like sub freezing -75 degrees colder then you know what and I have not had the nerve to enter the garage. My electric bill has been higher than a house payment. I'm so sick of this winter I could scream. Update complete! Thanks
