Here's the kit that Mark used. It says they offer international post. They use a Walbro pump so can easily be upgraded or replaced.

There are some very sad stories here. My heart brakes for everyone who has lost loved ones. It's made even worse that this was known about and they continued to use it and some countries still do.
If any good comes from this it will raise a little awareness of the prolific use of asbestos and the care needed when working around it.

I had the exact same thing happen to me Bigmal.  I went through a few senders . Checked all the wiring and eventually purchased an adjustable voltage reg that sits behind the dash. That did the trick for me and i can fine tune it.

I did what Reaper69 advised when I put my 69 back together Bigmal.  I just came from dropping my focus off for a service at my local Ford dealership and was talking to one of the guys . He was telling me about the new mustangs and how many are going straight to panel shops to get the panels aligned . Some panels are up to 10mm out from the factory.  You would expect that back in the 60s but not with brand new cars coming straight of the ship. Now thats shit!!!.

When I had my brackets out I found the threads to be pretty average probably due to being aluminium and overtightened at some stage. I ended up putting helicoils in all the brackets. Those things work great.

Way oldn but the best could be to align the back by the latch.  Then if the front is off at the bottom adjust the fender in or out.   2 bolts at the bottom.

Too bad they don't offer a -4 size (7/16") which is closer to 1/8"NPT.   Larger the dia. the harder it is going to be to flatten the radius of the tubing enough to seal.

Fitting in picture looked to be BRASS, so I assumed it went on the inside and had some sort of gasket sealing.
That makes much more sense, but the goal here is to be able to remove fitting so you can get the neck in & out AND to avoid needing to have the whole thing re-plated ... so yes, no welding.

You did a fantastic job on the car  it looks great.  When you modified the tank for the efi did you install any baffling to prevent fuel starvation issues?

I used the stencil kit from NPD to do the blackout on the hood.  New seals glued to the doors . New insulation to the roof prior to the headliner going in. Starting to bolt on the shiny stuff. Who doesn't like bolting on new shiny stuff!!!

I purchased a FiTech injection unit so I thought I would give the body work a break and start on my fuel system. I used a pod style pump from one of our local Ford Falcons and welded an adaptor ring to my tank from efi hardware . I filled the tank full of water to avoid blowing myself up lol. I positioned the pump under the spare wheel area to help protect it and so its not visible when opening the trunk.
Take note Vicfreg , Im sure you will need to put a trap door in your boarded up trunk area so you can fit a similar pump once your CC shits itself LOL.

Converting my standard hood to a shaker hood. Who doesn't like a shaker sticking out the hood!!!
I purchased the Scott Drake surround  . It cost me a lot of money and its the biggest piece of shit . Im embarrassed to even put it on but thats all that was available.
I welded in patches to fill the  holes were the original scoop indicator lamps went.

Trial fit the doors. I lost count of how many times the doors and front fenders when on and off. I spent a long time on the doors. Days and days. They were pretty average . I think the RHS one was an aftermarket job and I had to do some major work to get it to look half decent.

Place the hood into position once it was primed.  I had to see how that Shaker looked. I did have to modify the shaker base just to get that factory look. The Edelbrock rpm manifold made it stick to far out . I used the big block base which are lower and it still required tweaking.

Rubbed back all the front fenders and light bucket extension pieces and primed them up. They needed a bit of work to match up the the fenders.

Front Valance rubbed back . Pre drilled the holes for the spoiler before priming.
Doors . Did I mention doors !!! . Im still not happy with the RHS were it meets up with the quarter panel.  I had to use some Fibre fill and turn my hand to being a sculptor .
The sheds starting to look like a panel shop.

See, something good came out of you being laid up from a bad back. We all were able to see your level of work. Kudos Mark on an outstanding resto job! That is really top shelf work there mate. The work all y'all do has got me feeling like a rookie.
Another 56 F-100??? I am so darn jealous. My first vehicle was a 56 Effie big window, and I gave my last one to a buddy. I gotta get another one.
Again Mark, stellar work there, be proud.

    Thanks, Mark!
They are pretty simply done compared to the stangs. Everything is so much bigger and easier to work on the engine. I'd love to follow your progress on it if you post it anywhere. Please give us the heads up if you do.
Are you going to do any chassis mods while you are at it, like boxing it or anything? I'm amazed at how flimsy mine is, even with the additions that I've made.  And it is a newer '81 model chassis.
