  1. And Friday=can't wait to prep for the hangover on Monday, I have a Friday car 😕
  2. Yes where modern cars have it, looking through the windshield on the drivers side, and at least on mine the fender would have to come off for sure. Those are not my pics...
  3. Maybe at some point it was registered as a 6cyl for insurance reasons? Would make sense. The Vin that Dave pointed out is on the passenger side, where the fender mounts, where the shock is. Yes the fender would most likely have to be removed.
  4. No worries, I was the one who misspoke, I just pulled my fenders last week and never saw it. After my post I went to the garage and hit it with a wire brush, and guess what I found...lol. Mine is a San Jose car so most probably all have it. I'm always glad to learn something new. Thank you Dave.
  5. As I said in my last post, you are correct Dave. As far as determining the difference between the rear here is a link. http://www.maliburacing.com/ford_9_inch/ford_nine_inch.htm
  6. Dave I will correct myself again you are correct, the Vin was also stamped on the shock tower, pass side. My bad lol
  7. You are correct Dave, an inline 6 would have been correct in 69'. As far as the Vin being stamped on the apron, Ford relocated it to the dash in 69, it wasn't stamped on the apron, however, they did place a tag, either on the passenger side near the hood hinge, or on the radiator support near the battery. Most of these get lost over the years.
  8. 1st thing I would do is verify the Vin on the door tag matches with the Vin up on the dash area. If they match I am stumped as to why the registration says it's a 6cyl car. As far as the rear end change the 6s and the reg 302 along with the 351w 2v came with an 8" rear. The Boss cars, 351w 4v,and the big blocks came with 9" rears. It's possible when the v8 was put in the owner wanted a 9". But the rear will have to be visually checked to see what it is for sure.
  9. Hello Tom, are we talking about a totally stock 69 302? Are you running a points style distributor? Has it been converted to electronic? If so are you still using the stock resistor wire to power the coil?
  10. Thanks 69RavenConv, good to know, as I am most definitely financially challenged atm lol.
  11. Excellent indeed, has anyone used the starter from db electric? Price is way cheaper than a rebuilt from Azone, just curious about quality.
  12. I saw the Shelby and thought it looked awesome with the blue stripe. It had me thinking..... Custom blue Mach1 stripe? Hmmm
  13. 69 has it on the passenger side, as Barnett468 said, a/c or not.
  14. Ouch... Well that's problem #2 this week, hope it's all good after this. Knock on wood.
  15. Thanks SA69mach, I saw those pics and found a few more. The color is definitely growing on me the more I look at it, and lord knows I like different LOL.
  16. Thank you all for the replys, definitely some food for thought here, and I do appreciate your feedback. I've found a few pics of this color Mustang online but never seen it in person. It seems Ford used that color on a few models that year so I'll be on the hunt to see it in person, or just get a pint mixed and spray some myself.
  17. Get wood dowls, paint them pretty flower colors, dust them in the boric acid, and hang them off your garage outside. Repeat the dusting daily. Edit. Or you can get potted flowers to attract the bee's, hang them, and place the dusted dowels in the pots.
  18. Borax Powder Boric acid (borax) is an excellent natural bee killer and is ideal for homeowners who want to know how to kill bees effectively. It is poisonous not only to bees, but to most other pests as well. It is generally safe for humans and requires a very large amount to be toxic. How to kill bees effectively with borax is a matter of sprinkling the powder in an area where the bees come and go often if you cannot get it directly into the nest. The dust sticks to the bees and they carry it back to their hive. Within days, the hive should disappear. This is ideal if you cannot see or do not have direct access to the hive but know where the bees go to feed. Putting bait out in the open and putting borax in and around the hive is an excellent way to kill bees. Edit. If it works for you will you make me a hood? LOL
  19. Did you just get the printed circuit board? If so exchange it, I've seen a few threads where there are bad ones out there.
  20. I bought my M code Mach back in 81, at that time I was only concerned about it being a Mach1 with the original drive train. The PO had the car repainted red, but it already had a few chips and I could see what I thought was Wimbledon peeking thru. I never gave it another thought as I knew one day I would repaint it myself. The car was garaged from 82 to 90 when I freashened it it up, and found the build sheet under the carpet. Everything coencided with the build sheet/door tag, but I never checked the paint code. Fast forward to 2015, I went out to get the date code to help answer a question someone asked, and for some reason I looked up the paint code. Well what I thought for all these years peeking thru was Wimbledon white turns out to be Pastel gray. Through a search I've found out that only 1083 Mach's were painted this color. So my question is, does this add much if any value to the car? Does anyone here own one this color? Thanks, Randy.
  21. 70769 have you checked voltage at the coil yet? Edit. And it's my pleasure 1969_Mach1, I don't often post but I do read just about every post here. There is a wealth of knowledge to be had here thanks to members such as yourself.
