There is something weird about this car. Check the running horse QP medallions. Facing rearward. Aren't they supposed to run the other way? Towards the front of the car?

    Or did I miss something?

I can't help thinking there's something fishy about this add. Colors are mixed, but above all, is that really the market price for an S-code?

Superb!!! That color makes the car look both classy and mean at the same time. Very cool.

    Guillaume69 got a reaction from Machspeed in ~ 1969 Pedal support....roller bearings
I did that mod when I had the pedal support out. I intended to drive the car a lot so I thought this would be useful.

Removing the old bushings with a grinder was not fun. I can't even imagine doing it with the support in the car... After that, it was really easy. Got me rid of a stupid 4 years steady clutch pedal squeak, that I was never able to silence in spite of many WD40 attempts. Now that made my day!

Oh, and you want to spot weld the bearings so that they won't move under foot pressure.

I love doing this kind of inexpensive hidden upgrades.

Just went and measured mine. I found 50 mm on both sides (approx. 2 inches). If there is a difference, it would be less than 1 mm.

    Answer is yes!

And what do you find in barns? Old Mustangs...

This one is a rare export (DSO 90). Even in the 60's, Mustangs being our "exotics", they were way more expensive on this side of the pond, and therefore were exclusive to wealthy people. All imported cars were the same "standard": GT, fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. Manual transmission (always), no A/C (different climate), no console and no power steering (different habits).

Same owner from 69 to 06. Was sold to a friend by original owner in 06 and stored away until today. For sale now, somewhere in the south of France, for around $20k...

Even the air cleaner snorkel is still there. I bet the build sheet is waiting patiently somewhere in that car...

We used exactly the same product for my car. Bullet prof and water tight! After 10,000 miles on the road, it still looks brand new and shiny.

Great build, by the way. Keep them pics flowing our way!!

Guillaume69 got a reaction from BillC in Where's the washer bottle?
I read some people would get rid of the windshield washer system when cowl was leaking, to avoid getting washer water under the front carpets. Therefore, when buying an old Mustang, some take the absence of the washer nozzles and hoses as a potential sign of rusted through cowls.

That being said, I got my 69 like you, with everything gone. But the cowl was just fine and in really good shape. All I did was like the others said: got everything and installed it. Try and get stainless premium quality nozzles or they'll get rusty and ugly. Seeing it work after so many years without it was a blast! I kept using it just for fun and my wife thought I was nuts...

    Hi guys,

Ok, not a 69, I know. But this one is interesting, and I am sure you'll enjoy the challenge. It has been discussed on US Mustang forums in the past. The car is in France now.

Here's a 67 with a really funky Dataplate. The VIN is not 67 correct (no X 390 engines in 67). Car is actually equipped with what seems to be an authentic 289.

    Marti seems clueless...

What is your guess? Any idea? Stamping error on the assembly line?
