69 351W exhaust headers--what works best?
mustangstofear replied to rays69mach1's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
We've always used BBK off road for a perfect fit -
Those are hard to find used and still be useable.

Welding a Hurst shifter handle
mustangstofear replied to EastYorkStang's topic in 1969-70 Technical Forum
The way we designed our shifter, it eliminates the problem you have. Your shoulder should still be against the seat in 1 3 and 5. -
We're going to make Stainless Steel grilles for the hood next, should look really nice.

Glad you're OK, property can be replaced :)

Will post pictures of the clear coat tomorrow.

Probably BBK off road is what we normally use.

I think before we paint the engine compartment we might install the motor and the tranny, just to be in the save side. Since it the TKO 600 it should fit.
-
It fits with about 3/4 of an Inch and we have the motor at 3.8 degree.

I could be wrong, but I think you just need to buy the trim that goes on the door glass and remove the ones on the Qtrs.
-
No, sounds like the rear end shifted.
-
This is what 25,000 will get you :)
-
Plan on installing the motor on Monday for a test fit, just want to make sure there isn't any clearance issues before we start painting.
-
Check out that motor :)

Did a dyno on the 427 we built and it hit 600 HP . I think our customer will be happy.

Big difference in size between a T5 and a TKO 600.
-
Normally we always install the TKO 600 from Modern Driveline, but on our own 65 fastback that's going to SEMA they talked us into the T56. I will say for the extra 400.00 there is a huge difference in the how they shift. With a stock front suspension there will be modifications to the tunnel and firewall. We had no modifications to ours because of our MTF suspension.

Hard to beat a good looking 69 fastback :)
